Phillip K. Ries, 39, of Swanton, OH, passed away Monday, January 3, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was a lifelong cement finisher, most recently working with B&J Larson Construction. Phillip was a member of the Cement Finishers Union Local 886, the Sylvania Moose, and the Catholic War Vets.
He is survived by his fiance, Bobbie Fisher; children, Cassandra J. and Trevor R. Ries; mother, Kitty (Edward) Meyer; sisters, Shannon (Jon) Hall and Cathy (Steven) Grove; brother, J. Scott (Jeanna) Meyer; nieces and nephews Danielle, Heather, Ashley, Jessica, Joey, Terrence, Kiley, and Logan and many dear friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Ries.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Friday, January 7th from 3-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment Amboy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers tributes to the family would be appreciated.
Phillip loved friends, family, and his Harley, he will be missed.
I have just returned from services . Many of you knew Phil as the gut wearing the "3" ball cap and doo rag(he was a HUGE Dale Earheart fan. He would attend the Arnold with myself and Dan Victor. He was the loudest noise at the competition and never even pulled a match always picking on Dan and me. He was actually at all of the Harley pulls also. I dedicate 2005 to our much loved brother Phil. See you on the table. Peace.
