The first video I ever saw on ArmTV (I believe it was the free monthly video at the time) was the first part of the "Who is Kevin Cierley" stream. Does anyone know what he's up to or if he's training to go pro after his losses? The guy really impressed me and a lot of other people it seems, even some of the pros. Anyone have any info?

I haven't seen him since Vegas!
He has potential but needs some training, I was also impressed with how much $$$ his father was willing to lose @ Vegas. Myself and Olin were the two armwrestlers challenging anyone and every one that was not pulling in the event, until his father put up 100.00 and said he would kick my A##, needless to say he walked away with a 100.00 less in his pockct. Funny thing about this story his father pulled out another 100.00 and challenged CORBA not a good day for Kevin.

Hey I remember that Bill! You should have seen if you could have gotten any more money, lol. I have to admit I thought he was going to win quick, (I knew virtually nothing about armwrestling at the time) I guess it goes to show you how little people know about armwrestling until they start getting involved. Did he actually pull Cobra? God, that must have been a humbling experience. I can only guess how it went, but can you share the details, I gotta hear this one...

I felt bad about the first 100.00, he was pumped up to believe that he was the next John B. his father was persistent with the $$ bet. Needless to say I beat him three times before he realized he grabed ahold of something he couldn't let go of. It was all fun and games until the cash went on the table.
Your question; did he actually pull Cobra? Let say he gripped up with Cobra, end of story you should know the rest.

Thank you very much for the information, Bill. Hearing some of the history/stores of what happened in armwrestling keep me interested. I'm wondering now if he has turned away from the sport or if he'll reappear in a year or so with some experience under his belt. I know this is going to sound like an amateur's question, but what physical gifts do a guy like Kevin have that make him a potential great puller?
If anyone knows where Kevin is, tell that guy to keep pulling! I need to rename this thread "Searching for Kevin Cierley".
"We can rebuild him, stronger, faster, more adept in the sport of Armwrestling".

Well since I was involved with Kevin, I will have to throw my opinion in on this one. The guy seems to have some potential, but he is a complete smartass, and had no respect for the pro's. I personally was ready to smash him through the pad so hard that you would have heard the air come out of it. He sat out in the crowd and watched me and Bill pull the public for nearly an hour before he decided to step up and challenge us.

Just goes to show you the difference between a gifted amateur and an experienced professional. Even the greatest of all time would have lost, easily, if he went up against a pro while having no experience.

Kevin Cierley? Well when he pulled for the bet, it was before the tourney. His confidence was damaged already and then when he was in an actual match in vegas, he had an entourage of so many supporters. This added to pressure that he couldnt handle. As with all of us that starts in this sport, we usually beat about everyone and many times we say..OH! I have never been beat!! Well that may be true..Cause we never pulled a Real Armwrestler! Kevin had beat everydody in Bakersfiel..On the hood of a car!(True) well, when he lost to the first two pullers in vegas..Kevin was no where to be found, He was Devastated, and his family was worried. I had talked to his sister there and she was worried too. I told her that he has potential and to try and understand what quality of pullers were here! How was he to know who this Cobra and Bill were? Heck, who would think they could beat these guys..Surely only one who hasnt been in the sport very long! I wish kevin luck, and who knows maybe he took some advice from us there and went home a better man, and trained all year..He could win it all this year, WHO KNOWS!!!
