There's more signs of the devil in today's society than there is a god. We don't see miracles....we see death....we don't see cures for cancer/aids/etc. we see people get the diseasess and die.....so in my mind there's more proof of the devil than their is your god....well I'm proof enough for the devil.......where is your god to take me out   |

your ignorant of the relationship between god and the devil my friend.
Mankind takes on these diseases etc. because mankind has walked away from God.
when sin entered the world disease and death came with it. this is a result of the presence of sin in the world, not the absence of God.
There are reports of people being healed and raised from the dead by the hand of God.....but people like you already have your mind made up so you dismiss it and would dismiss it no matter how much evedince was put before you.

in all actuallity.....the presence of all that evil stuff such as disease and death....is more evidence of the existence of God......if everything God predicts haappens....and the devil exists as God says he does........then these are proofs that God is real and vibrant.......he offers a solution to these problems.....

Though I am not on His level, I am willing to give it a go in His name. :-) (Modification: Great story added) ----- A young United States Marine was attending college courses between his assignments. He had been to and completed missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses he was taking had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day, to prove his point, the professor shocked the class when starting his lecture. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes to prove yourself." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes of silence went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting." As the clock ticked by, it got down to the last couple of minutes. The Marine slowly stood up from his chair, walked up to the professor and cold-cocked him, knocking him off the platform. The Marine went back to his seat, sat down and was silent. The other students were shocked and stunned, they sat there looking on in silence. The professor was out cold for a minute but eventually came to. Noticeably shaken, he looked at the Marine and asked, "What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?" The Marine calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America's troops. So, He sent me." |

Joe....It appears to me that you don't take religion seriously....maybe it's all a joke to you.....you know, "ruffle some feathers." These brother armwrestlers are not stupid. They have just experienced things in life that perhaps you haven't yet.
Miracles DO exist.....I can recount a few in my life, but you wouldn't believe me. It would have to happen to you for you to believe. Most people are like that.
Demons also exist. And I don't care if you have 30" biceps, you would pee your pants if you encountered one. There exists tons of documentations of real exorcisms witnessed by unbiased proffessionals. The ones that actually lived through the experience are no longer atheists.
Please do the work before you do futher damage to your soul. This isn't us against you. It is a matter of us for you, in a spirit of love. This also isn't a matter of an itellectually stimulating arguement.
One thing might help clear this up for you a little. Think of the nature of sacrificial love....like the love you have for your mother or children. That is just one proof that we have a higher dignity than animals. Animals do everthing instinctively, including protecting their young. Humans, made in the image and likeness of God, have free will. Humans must choose to sacrifice themselves for their loved ones, or choose not to.
If you have frequently chosen in your life to not sacrifice for your loved ones, you are likely a very troubled person all around...including mental health issues etc., as a result of your selfishness.
If you are a relatively whole person, then you likely try hard to make the right choices, but just have not experienced God in your life yet. The latest for that to happen will be at the hour of your death. Please keep an open mind. You can at that hour have complete contrition (sorrow for your sins) and not lose your soul.
I hope to meet you some day Joe. I'll be in Bristol on June 23rd.....maybe I'll see you there.....and we don't have to talk religion....you'll be able to see how much fun a follower of Jesus can have without tossing away his eternal life.

I'm really surprised that their wasn't more responses to a post with so much meaning and juging by the effort of the Author it obviously was used as a stage for him to reach many people around the world. Is thier really so few people listening to this message. good post man it must of taken alot of courage. to wright this! Grippler out! If there is a JOE where is he??? I can't see him just pictures of him like I see pictures of Jesus. I bet you don't believe there are ghost either do you joe? Do you really have to see something for it to be there? thats like the theory that if none of us existed is there really a universe? ? Does the Universe only exist because our minds percieve it??? Did you know that it takes your brain a very high fraction of a second to see the world? so your actually looking into the past..... How do you not know everything is right in front of your eyes and you just can't see it because your brain just isn't quite fast enough to process that extra .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 of a second faster??? |
