These results are shocking... Mike Selearis, my NY teammate, and current National Champion, was destroyed by the Bulgarian Champion, Stoyan Golemanov, who is the training partner of Cvetan Gashevski... I guess it's not that bad to lose to Golemanov, since he has such a great COACH, like Gashevski... Keep your head up high Mike, we still love you !!! I wish you would have won 1 match, at least... Where was your hand control on this particular day This guy Golemanov has been one of the most improved armwrestlers as of late... About 1 1/2 years ago he lost quick to my buddy from Romania, Ion Oncescu... But when Oncescu went to Bulgaria in the month of March of this year, a week later after our Las Vegas event, Golemanov destroyed Oncescu, without the use of the straps... To any of my buddies, this guy is Faster on the go than Oncescu... That's amazing !!! I have inside information, that this man will be the new Rustam Babayev...

I guess it's not that bad to lose to Golemanov, since he has such a great couch, like Gashevski... Is that kind of "Couch" found exclusively in Bulgaria, or can I find one at Bob's Discount Furniture?

HEY MR. LASORSA, AM I SUPPOSED TO TAKE IT EASY ON MY MAN MICHAEL, AND NOT BE TRUTHFUL, ABOUT HOW HE GOT KILLED BY GOLEMANOV YOU GOT TO BE JOKING !!! THE TRUTH WILL ONLY LIGHT UP MICHAEL'S DESIRE FOR TRAINING, OF WHICH HE HAS NOT DONE MUCH IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS... THERE IS ONLY ONE ARMWRESTLER ON TEAM NYC THAT HAS BEEN VERY DEDICATED IN HIS TRAINING, AND THAT IS GEORGI, PERIOD... AND ALL COULD SEE HIS RESULTS... SELEARIS HAS BEEN SCARED OFF, AND HE DOES NOT EVEN WANT TO COME AND PULL WITH GIORGI OR CHRIS MYERS ANYMORE... AS A RESULT OF THE LACK OF TABLE TIME, HE GOT DESTROYED BY GOLEMANOV !!! OR BETTER YET, ANNIHILATED, MR. LASORSA....WHICH EVER WORD YOU LIKE BETTER....

Amedeo, are you sure that Golemanov lost fast?or...did he ever lost to Ion HEY KIRIL, GOLEMANOV LOST TO ONCESCU ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO... ONCESCU ALSO BEAT GASHEVSKI ONCE THAT DAY IN THE HOOK, AND GASHEVSKI CAME BACK AND BEAT ONCESCU TWICE IN THE STRAPS TO WIN THE OVERALL... I DID NOT SAY THAT ONCESCU BEAT GOLEMANOV LATELY OR RECENTLY... ON THE CONTRARY, I SAID THAT GOLEMANOV DESTROYED ONCESCU AT THE LAST MEET, ABOUT ONE WEEK AFTER THE LAS VEGAS EVENT, AND WITHOUT THE USE OF THE STRAPS...

Stojan has an advantage to Rustam that he has a longer and bigger hand so he can use top-roll and hook too.

hi Amedeo, now I see what tourney u are talking about,it`s Bansko open 2004,it was just a year ago. Golemanov didnt lost to Ion. in the overall Golemanov pulled 1st match with Miroslav Ivanov and lost in 2 fouls, then Miroslav lost to Tzvetan, later Tzvetan lost to Ion(the match you talking about,in hook)then Stoyan won aganst Miroslav and met Tzvetan at the semy final and lost.at the final Tzvetan won 2 times against Ion in straps. I have never seing someone to pin Stoyan, but Tzvetan(many times) and Miroslav once since 2003(right arm)
take care friend

All I can say is Wow, I was expectin Selaris to win a couple matches, but Golemanov is the"Man to beat" as to quote Engin. I dunno though, this is just a thought how do you guys feel about a match between Golemanov and crazy George Izakouits, after all the man did beat Travis Bagent in Oshawa.

From the video, it looked more like Travis stopped armwrestling than anything else... and yes I know... you are suppose to continue armwrestling until the ref calls the match.... but Travis had him close enough to the pad that he was looking at the ref to call the match.... I don't think George would have ever pulled Travis back from that far down unless Travis stopped like he did.
Guess we need anothe match to find out for sure.
