These are the classes I'd offer. Four classes 0-165()198()231()232+ Five classes(if 54s will show) 0-154()176()198()231()232+
The Four are very similar to yours as far as how much weight seperates the classes but are part of the standard classes offered at nationals and worlds. Which could make ranking the results easier.

Am I right in thinking that this is only a round robin tournament?

That's incredible. Never met Bob in person but have seen him in videos and I never had a clue this had happened and how he's overcome so much. Just want to give him some respect. Great job on filming and editing Gary and whoever else may have, def felt the story as I watched it.

My situation is just like John byerley's. I have no one to pull with(moved to new area) and only train weights and some bands and don't train steadily but just as my job allows. So for me, I've said for a while, going to tournaments is just a practice for me and really everything else John said. B/c of that I pull both pro and am,I've nvr won an open match or more than one am class. I have usually had to pull up in weight b/c not a lot of am 154-165s that have showed to the events I've been to.

I think that custom trophies are a nice option. similar to the way contrabands are made, they're not the basic gold trophy, but use the pirate theme of contraband. Over repeated years of course you'd still get multiples, but if you do display them at least you can have one from several different events that look unique and different. Designing a different one each year may be to much for some, but atleast every 3-5 years would be good.

Not sure this is the case, but I think if there's a local type tournament In the town you grew up in or essentially grew up in then any armwrestler can pull it. Most likely theyve got friend, teachers, old coworkers.. Etc that are there, And no matter how big someone is in Armwrestling today there's still more meaningful recognition on the local lvl. My feeling on it.
Also, I didn't hassle Tim about it before. These are two different situations in my mind.
