Who can do this one? I just can't quite get it My training partner Kyle Knapp can do it at 154lbs. Is everyone crushing this thing?

Tim, of those are the HG's, they are supossed to vary a TON. So they could be all over the map. I've heard of some HG300's thare similar to COC#3's, and some are similar to COC#2's, so the variance is huge it seems, that's why most "gripper guys" prefer CoC or Beef Builder grippers.

I have closed the three and I am pretty sure one of my training partners (Jason Otto) has closed it as well. I don't know how it helps for armwrestling, because when I start training my hand for armwrestling I always put the heavy grippers down. But it was a goal of mine for a few years and I finally acheived it last year. John, if you want to close it sooner, shave the inside of your #2 or #2.5 so you have a greater distance to close it and focus on forced negatives with the three. That seemed to help.

I closed the #3 when I was 154 lbs. but since the surgery I am still that annoying 1/16th of an inch away from closing it. I was just playing with them here at my desk when I saw this thread.

John, I've closed the # 3, but I'm not a true grip guy like some on this board who are stronger than I could amost believe. Like closing a shaved off # 3 for reps of 10 as fast as it would click. Sounded like me warming up on a # 1 If I hadn't see it I most likely would not have believed it!

I wish I could do that. I haven't used one in such a long time I think I can barely close a #2.

Armwrestling wise: WHO CARES!!!!! For fun: Thats different.... This has been a thread before, somewhere: At the 02 Unifieds ( outdoors in 100degree heat ), I watched, so did others, Rob Sasso close ( clicking) the #3 20 times!..YES, you read correctly. 20 times!..I also saw him, with others, do it at Chris Myers house in 03 too!...OH and he was holding his arm straight out.....Like everyone else in armwrestling, sometime or another, I 've seen his wrist flop..... Also, watched Jason Vale close the #1 gripper HALF WAY!!!!!!!!!..THAT WAS IT!!!!!!!!...I am paraphrasing, but I remember him saying you don't armwrestle with a hand closed!!!!!!!! Just a thought...........Enjoy trying!!!!!!!!!

I can close it 3 times in a row. 20 times is impressive! Cant do that yet. If you train corectly with these grippers it will improve your hand strength, and improve hand control whether or not you hook toproll or what ever. I have seen the results and it works for me. It might not work for everyone. JMO.
