Ok Travis, I said it did not live up to my expectations. That is my personal opinion nothing more, there was some good parts(of course). Voevoda training, Travis' crazy mouth, throwing the dog on the roof (don't let PETA see this). I heard the trailers were the best part and I did not see then. I apologize to everybody who I offended. Travis could be right, the long awaited release could have played tricks on my mind!

i dont disagree with you at all Engin.
I loved the story behind Travis Alexey And John. Thought that was great. I simply didnt care for it as a film. The quality of it i mean.
That was my only point.
Travis can call names all he wants for one to simply have an independant thought and opinion.
Im a fan of all of these guys. and the efforts and intents of the documentary.
But i still stand by opinion after 6 years the quality of the documentary was lacking.
Maybe if more people were honest when they were influencing the producers rather kissing butt all the time because they thought this was going to take the sport to a new level, maybe it wouldve come out a little better.
Gold is purified with fire not sweet little nothings in the ear.

I thought we definatly couldve done without the dog being thrown on the roof. or the beer bellied worshipers of alexy. and the akward silent pauses of people staring at the camera not saying anything.
Great home video indeed. Nothing more.

watching it right now with Mike West, Mike Bowling, Sam Bowling wow. ryan...the intro animations alone were amazing, soundtrack, layered voice over of worlds, didn't happen there but you wouldn't know it, tiger animation is worthy of an award alone, filmed in what...six different countries. This movie will be used as a marketing tool for us ...years to come. the respect alone paid to the sport of armwrestling gives it a ten in my books.

I can see why so many non pullers praised it after it's showings. I thought it was an excellent documentary that paid proper respect to our sport's greatest athlete ever while also showcasing the level of armwrestlers that are stepping into the mix each day.
I was thrilled with how it turned out.

watching Pulling John inspired me to watch other documentaries, I would say I am a huge movie fanatic but regular two hour escapism hollywood stuff. After this came out I have watched about seven other docs, and I have yet to see the production level that you find here. I would recommend others to do the same and you will see what kind of craftsmanship has gone into this.

Figures the copy I received will not play on my PS3 (no problems with any other DVDs or Blu-ray). Makes a loud spinning noise. Just my luck. And I have no other dvd player hooked up at home.
