You guys want to talk about 40lb differences, if you want to be real about it do a tournament where the wieght classes are a percentage apart rather than a number apart. Just because there isn't a 220 lb class you arent going to pull in it??? So if pullers that you have never beat enter the tourny and there was a 220 class are you not going to enter cause you cant beat them??? A real AWer won't back down from a challenge, if anything it should push them harder!!! Keep Pullin!!!! Agreed ^^^ weight difference is not the same as body % difference 154- 198 vs 199-242 is much more of a disadvantage in the smaller weight class

Agreed ^^^ weight difference is not the same as body % difference 154- 198 vs 199-242 is much more of a disadvantage in the smaller weight class comon guys...... heres the math this is the percentage of body weight that a person would be giving up if they were to enter a 44 pound differential class at the absolute bottom of the weight class....witch almost never happens.... 155/44= 28% 199/44= 22% a maximium of 6% difference if you weighed 155 in the 155-198 class and pulled a 198 pound puller. i wouldnt call 6% a "much greater disadvantage." not even close. the 199-242 class is the hardest class to pull in....people have said it again and again; historically, almost all of the BEST pullers in the country/world (not pound for pound either) fall in this class. side note:pound for pound means nothing IMO. why isnt it good enough to call someone the best in their class? again im not lobbying for a change....but some recognition of the facts would be a good idea............

ok maybe you got me on the body % Max lol but what about fluxuation of size difference from 155-198 vs 199-242?
I agree some of the greatest armwrestlers fall into the 199-242 class, however most of those same names also fall into the 199-220 class, I don't really see much difference unless you just want to be ducking this guy or that guy. and I'm not talking much difference between a 155-199 class and 199-242 I'm talking 199-242 vs 199- 220 how different is it really.
the point is where to draw the line for supers ? and if you say 220 then why 220 and not 242? and if you say 242 do you mean there should be 20lbs classes all the way up to 242?
199-242 is pretty standard, mostly because it cuts out the 300 to 400 pound monsters and has decent partiapation rate. that is what these promoters look at and thats why its not going to change

Ok I did the match and for a 199 pound guy to pull 199-242 lbs. class would be the equivalent of a 155 lbs. guy pulling 155-187 lbs. class for the lighter weights. I have 155-187 lbs. classes before, in fact when I ran MN States that was the class I used. Yosef weighs 165 every day and didn't bitch about giving up 22 lbs. in fact he prefered 187 over 176 because he wanted more competition. Just saying. FOr a 22 lbs. guy to pull 242 would be the same as a 154 guy pulling a 169.5 lbs. weight class. That doesn't sound too bad at all.
One of out teammates weighs 260 lbs. so he's going to come with and pull 243+... I guess he'll be giving up 100+ lbs. to some guys there. Much more than 22 lbs.
