It's that time of year again.
So lets hear some of the goals people have for 2011...whether it's particular wins you want to achieve, certain titles you want to win, weight class you would like to drop/move up to, tournaments you'd like to make, etc.
As for me, I'm still working on my "win" list.
My main arm wrestling goal for the first quarter of 2011 is to begin planning to compete at 198. I've been talking about it for a year and a half but the talk is over now. I've giving myself to the end of March to make the weight but it may be a bit sooner.

To qualify for the 2012 arnolds.
To pull mike west fresh
To win 198 at contraband
To place if not win nationals.
To help motivate and resurrect "team Louisiana" to compete at nationals and show yet again to the world that Louisiana has the best, strongest, most tightly knit team in the country.
We will bring the force!!

My goal eventho it may seem small to most is to pull atleast 4 tournaments healthy this year. Considering Ive only ever pulled 4 tournaments, all of which I was injured, dealing with major health issues, aswell as being untrained I think its a good way for me to get a start in the right direction.

I have lots of goals for next year, but my # 1 goal is definitely to NOT GET INJURED. I have never been injured before and don't want to go through all that. Other important goals are:
place in at least 2 open tournaments this year (that will be tough because i will only be pulling 3 or 4 tournaments this year including nationals)
get my triceps stronger and start to develop a shoulder press
find my "sweet spot" on the table
To get more of my teammates to go to tournaments
qualify for arnolds 2012
improve my endurance
get my bodyfat to around 8 or 9%

I want to get my skills & my strength up to par where i can move from novice to opens sometime next yr. Get some good wins over some good novice competion to get there. Improve my hook & strengthen my toproll hit. Stay injury free as my first yr as a novice ends.

I want to get back to 154lbs. (Now 167) Rank in the top 10 in the Midwest at 154lbs. Beat my partner Dave right handed. Strengthen my wrist and backpressure. Work on my hit.

Harsh reality is...
In this sport. Once your "seen"..... Noone cares.... You will not be able to quit your job. And the people at work won't get it. And will laugh at you asking "when you turn your hat around, does it make you stronger? Make you feel Like a truck?
Point is, if you are seeking fame and fortune, your probably in the wrong sport.
