start with straps but allow the pullers for set up. refree's grip after 30 seconds. and i think slight wrist bend may be permitted. it is time to put some breaks on the domination of toprollers

Funny how some get the question and how some are still confused. I am not looking for anything specific here. Just your opinion on the two options. All else will be explained once I've gathered enough input. Thanks again to all.

Btw, hate AAA straps. Sorry triple A guys! X 2 I like the fact that it is thinner than the WAF strap and I don't mind the metal buckle, but the ring between the wrists...spent too many weeks recovering from that.

I think all matches should be....set in the ref's grip then any slip in any position goes to the straps.
too much time is wasted letting armwrestlers fight for there grip and it also wears them out a little.

Really? Lol Then why not also slight false start or slight elbow foul? No disrespect dixon, because i value your input on posts, but i found that slightly amusing.

Thanks Engin, this comment makes me happy!! I have come up with an idea of a strap that I think a lot of people will eventually adopt. I am sending one out to Pete Milanos for him to use in his tournaments. I sent one up with Dave Hicks to use also! Its an easy to set up and quick to release strap that is very comfortable yet tightens down like a buckle strap with the release of velcro! Its basically the best of both worlds all in one strap!

Really? Lol Then why not also slight false start or slight elbow foul? No disrespect dixon, because i value your input on posts, but i found that slightly amusing. James, imo ,toprollers are already enjoying the advantage at setup against a hooker. the rise [radial deviation of wrist] is actually a well contracted position of wrist in toprollers desired direction. so he doesn't need to start contraction at that spot of wrist at the go. but a straight wrist is not a well contracted position of wrist flexion.so the hooker has to start contracting his wrist after the go..so generally he is not able to stop the speed of toproller. imo armwrestling excellence depends on simultaneous contraction of many muscle group...wrist,elbow,chest ,wings fingers ,abdomen ,hip ,spine and legs..it takes lot of time and training to devolop control and initiation of all these movements simultaneously. so a toproller gets lesser trouble at the start...and a hooker will get some benefit if slight wrist bend is allowed. But at the same time toprolling is the best audience friendly movement and it definitely adds to the popularity of the game... still i have a feeling that the undue domination of toprollers is one reason behind popular misbelief that aw is all technique and not power...So giving some chance to raw power may help to keep more strongmen to continue play this sports[ and as well known, wrist area is not good to many strongmen]. And more nonarmwrestlers winning matches will definitely make the game popular in gyms .jmo

The AAA strap seems to change the dynamic of how you can pull because of the ring. The other does not for some reason. The other strap is much easier to get out of once the match is over. This will make it quicker as well.
