I would think at most tournaments there would be a 220 class or a 209 class but I could be wrong, maybe do a vote on keeping that class or not.... but either way I'm sure you will do a great job Josh, regardless Tom Nelson will loose his number one spot left handed soon actually Karl most tournaments offer a 242, or as Josh said some weird variation belowe that, I dont see Josh ranking 143 or anything belowe that, also no 165, 187, 209....which all all classes at nationals but you would have alot of the same names other classes already have Also facter in that many "220" guys can make the cut to 198 the ones who cant are really 230 guys anyway so bulking up to 242 shouldnt be a big deal

Also something else to consider
Promoters tend to cater to pullers they know will show up, so if TK has 5 220 guys before he ever starts the brackets it makes sense for him to offer that class, just one of many examples
On the other hand USAA holds 30 tournaments a year and cant get 220 guys to show

Yes AAA offers the 220 class along with 132, 143, 154, 165, 176, 187, 198, 242, and 242+
Only class we don't offer is the 121

To say 220 and 242 is not much different in plain funed.
I walk around at 230-235 cut to 220. Nick Zinna walks around at 250-260 and cuts to 242.
BIG difference. I am done ever looking at rankings anyway.

Thank you Eric and Karen, so why are we not ranking 220 again especially when worlds, nationals, and like I said a lot of tournaments offer it!? And if u want to talk about pullers dieting down to make 220 so why not rank them in 242, so basically David your saying its a waste for pullers to train and diet to make 220 and they shouldn't worry about doing that because the walk around weight is above 220? And coming from a 220 who walks around between 205 and 210, I hate dieting to 198, me I personally lose power because I don't have much fat to lose and its rough to compete with pullers who diet from 250, 260 to 242, but you are a 176 so you probably should worry about your class, but like I said before do a vote and see what of the majority pullers vote on

Karl I am 176 what that has to do with this I am not sure Josh is 154 but guess what he is the one spending the time on doing the rankings not anyone else, you 220 guys kill me with all the crying you do, if you are really 205 to 210 then the cut you have to make for 198 is water, I garantee that Brent Rakers walks around at 210 or better, Michael Vaz same thing but probably more like 215 YOU are chasing Tom Nelson, you said it yourself and guess what he is the top 220 guy and the top 242 guy so what is the difference Josh do yourself a favor rank the 242 class as you would then add a 220 class without the top guys who would also be the top 220 guys in it and it will end the whining Karl-yes they offer 220 at nats and worlds so since you think I have any place to argue this point, by your logic would it not be only fair to have 143.165.187 ranked as well as 220, I bet I could get my name on that list if the guys who could make 165 were there instead of my class

David, I say worry about your class because you are not a 220 so why be concerned? You say 220's cry and whine? That's fine thats your opinion but I'm pretty sure that if they eliminated 176 class and made it 154 to 198 you would be the first to cry about the 40 plus pound difference like it is with 198 to 242, that is a big jump, don't say I'm crying when I'm stating my opinion as a 220, that's your first mistake,I'm pretty sure most would not agree with eliminating 176 class, if 220 is eliminated, the class I have pulled my whole ARM wrestling career in, then at least make it 198 to like 230

What's interesting is that 176 and 220 have been the biggest classes each of the last two years at Unified Nationals. I would be interested to see how many guys actually have to cut weight to make 242's. I can only think of a couple, Paul Walther and Dave Chaffee. I think this is why the 230 class that is used recently at several tournaments has been received so well, because most of the guys are walking around at well under 242 anyways. The last few times I have been to a tournament that had both the 220 and the 242, the 220 was stacked and the 242 was bone dry. What does all of this add up to? It's my opinion that tournament directors may want to take a look at changing the weight split to 221+ instead of the 243+. Even if you look at the USAA Nationals, the only guy that couldn't make the 220 weight would have been Ryan Constantino and maybe Jarrod Levulett (I'm not sure what his walk around weight is) and this is going back for the last couple years.

I still want to be one of the best at 220. I would say Tom is the number 2 guy behind John RH. John, Tom, RVJ, in that order. I think I am around 5th, but I still feel like the gap from 5th to those three is HUGE. I need a few years
