They were obviously not so extremely hard since you were correct on almost all of them. If I would have made them a little easier we can all guess what your score would be... and that can't happen since I'm doing my new form of world level questions now. - Yes, John got the award in 2007. (not 1997 as I accidently wrote at first..) - Yes, Kiril was in that match. - Roine won his titles in 1999, 2000, 2001. - The georgian I was thinking about was Georgi Khatchidze. Wasn't that him who was in the accident? - Yes, Endo. - Trevor "The Beef" Lloyd... not Floyd... close one! - I'm not extreming.. that information is available online and if one is only a little bit of armwrestling maniac then that question wasn't that over the top crazy. YES, Clay Rosencrans. - Yes, Mundishvili of course. - Fred Decker is correct. Wish I would have seen more of him. He was a very interesting armwrestler at his prime. I may be alone about it but I think it's weird that we never hear about him anymore... ever. He was better than that... - I had Eli Sappiashvili in mind. Can you tell me anything about Nir Harel? How good was he? What did he do? Did he pull any Worlds? "...may not have been important enough for some people to remember".. ha ha... that was the point with my new type of world level questions you asked for..

Wasn't that him who was in the accident? as far as i know Gimmy who had in final with Cobra in 92 WAF got killed by accident.Georgi was in my class at 2003 WAF,did he die after 2003? - Trevor "The Beef" Lloyd... not Floyd... close one! ahh come on Charlie,we should count this because i knew who he was with wrong spelling ;D - I'm not extreming.. that information is available online and if one is only a little bit of armwrestling maniac then that question wasn't that over the top crazy. YES, Clay Rosencrans. i remember him pulling during mid 2000s so that should have been him - - - Fred Decker is correct. Wish I would have seen more of him. Jag försökte hitta något från svenskspråkiga sidor men hittade ingenting. Så den här är bara en gissning, jag tror att det var i 1933 i en cirkus som organiserade den första armbrytnings SM? Och det var än finländare som vann.

He did come to pull at a local event in Albany 2 years ago and took a 2nd place to Rob Sasso. Sorry to hear about his health issues. I hope he will be fine and will be back to the sport in the future!

Yes... 1933 is the correct year for the first Swedish Nationals we have proof for. I will post some info about this soon. This makes me wonder about the meaning of the word "organized" in this context, since it's said that the organized sport started in 1952. Anyone who can tell me? Of course I don't mean that this is the oldes of all "organized" armwrestling tournaments. There have been "organized" tournaments in all times probably, but again.. what kind of change happened in 1952 that made it more organized than all the other tournaments that have been held earlier? Tero, I don't know if it was a finnish guy who won it as you said. What I've understood from it it was a guy who was a swedish baker that won it. I don't remember his name but we have a tournament in Sweden that is named in his memory. The name of the tournament is "Bagarens Minne" which directly translated is "Baker's Memory".. but it may mean "Memory of the baker" or something like that.

Nah I was just kidding about the finnish guy in the spirit of "Finkampen" and a rivalry between our countries in the field of sports One could imagine a baker would have the hand and arm strength to succeed in arm wrestling. This makes me wonder about the meaning of the word "organized" in this context, since it's said that the organized sport started in 1952. Anyone who can tell me? What first comes to mind is the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. It sure made sport clubs in Finland more organised and I would guess had it's effect in Sweden too? But if you mean the history of the whole sport of arm wrestling then the answer probably comes from U.S. and 1952 Olympics have nothing to do with it.

Charlie - You're right -- there were certainly armwrestling tournaments prior to the early '50s. In my history project I define "organized" as a tournament with a table specifically designed for armwrestling and a codified set of rules. Petaluma had both. Did others before also have both? It's possible. I think Petaluma is recognized as the birth place of the sport because of the event it became - the World Wristwrestling Championship. The American broadcasting of this event in the '70s can be directly or indirectly attributed to inspiring the development of almost all of the major organizations that evolved in the ensuing years. Had these events never been broadcasted, it's difficult to know where armwrestling would be right now.

Here are the answers to the other questions, since they haven't been answered yet. "These are my guesses to the all time best swedes. The prime years of each armwrestler is noted after the names. 1. Andreas Rundström (1996-1997) 2. Johan Lindholm (2006) 3. ?? (1997) 4. Sharon Remez (2009, as a swede) 5. Dick Ivars (2000-2003?) 6. Krister Jonsson (2001) or Magnus Samuelsson (1995) Who should be on 3rd place? This guy beat Dick Ivars, Sharon Remez and David Tchelidze, among others, at Golden Arm 1997." His name is Carl Wallin, or Calle Wallin as we call him. He was an extremely good armwrestler in the end of the 90's. His special weapon was to grab his opponent's thumb without caring about that much else, and then hit very hard sideways. I also remember he was very much into having a strong little finger. Here is his profile: www.worldofarmwrestling.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=201An out of shape Calle. An in shape Calle, at Golden Arm 1997. "Pascal Girard was one of the winners of the "toughest match of the event"-awards at ARM WARS 2002 in Manchester. Who was his opponent?" His opponent was Craig Sanders. Video: www.worldofarmwrestling.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=956"Who is the best left handed armwrestler Aaron Lengyel has beaten at a competition?" Eric Woelfel. "Who used a chalk bucket as a riser at one of the Yukon Jack events when there was no risers left for him when he needed it?" Jason Vale. "Name two armwrestlers from Australia." Sam Saffuri (attended the Worlds in Mesquite) www.worldofarmwrestling.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=7435Richard Aplin (has been selling armwrestling tables for many years) www.armpullers.com/tables/Australian%20Arm%20Wrestling%20Tables/index.htm"Which heavy weight match at Yukon Jack 1995 was the longest?" Charlie, please forgive me but many of these questions either were about Sweden or about the not directly armwrestling related details such as the chalk bag of Jason so i prepare the similar way of questions so that you realise what i mean who is the vegetarian Russian athlete who is a WAF champion? which was longest match of 2008 International Boyraz event what is the longest match that Haydar Gildil ever had? who is the best right hand armwrestler that world champion Tuncay Basaran ever beat? who is the 82kg armwrestler that gave minute long hook match to Ferit Osmanli in a competetion? which year was the first Turkish national championship? a-1967 b-1979 c-1986 d-1988 see most of these questions are near impossible for someone to answer unless he has been looking to the world from my eyes

What was the alternative?? to keep ask questions you were gonna be 100% right on? Not thinking so Engin.. ;D We've been through that already. You are the most knowledgeable armwrestler in the world, of course we need to ask harder questions to even make it a game worth it's name. I adapted my questions to make it hard for you and your level, but not impossible. Your questions are just impossible for my level. That's the difference..
