Yes, Gaspari sponsored....excellent. But why rely on any other entity than ourselves?
What if Gaspari doesn't sponsor in the future? Then we'll be right back to another "Save the Arnold" topic on this board.
A $50 annual membership would ensure the future financial security of our sport. It's never been done, so why not try?

The problem is membership in what, and who would the money go to. Don't get me wrong I'm not against it, but there are so many contests that IMO it would be difficult to decide who got what and cause more problems than it solved. If I lived down where I could pull all of the time, I would have no problem putting up dues to several orginizations to pull in their tournaments as I know how hard they work and what little reward they get for it, usually just a bunch of grief! I had no problem paying AAA dues even though I hardly ever got to go. I doubt if you are going to get many pullers who feel that way though and there is the rub.

I will throw some financial support behind the event. The Arnold Classic is important to the sport and to me personally.
Leonard, do you or Denise have a Paypal account?

Good point, John. It would be difficult to implement such a requirement, only because it wasn't implemented in the beginning...when the sport began.
However, if the leaders of the organizations, et( UAL, USAF, AAA, etc..) would join forces and implement such a requirement, then the only choice would be to pay the $50 annually.
In terms of where the money would go.....there are several ideas. One of which could be a voting forum...solely for paying members to vote on where and how much of the funds would be allocated. For example, when Vazgen posted the "Save the Arnold" thread....we could've had a vote/poll, to vote on a certain amount needed and whether or not to keep the Arnold alive.
Another would be to have a representative from each state and/or region vote on where and how the money is allocated.
I'm sure there are several people on this board that could come up with an idea. The key would be to get the leaders of our sport to come up with something together, then share with the rest of the country how they agreed to financially secure our sport.
Unfortunately, trust is an issue. However, I do not think we would put an organization in charge of the money without first deciding on a direction based on past mistakes. The organizations must come together. I know there are people who do not get along, but in the end, all of them are in the sport to ensure accountable growth and sustainability for the sport. They must first take the lead. Without them doing so, we will continue to spin our wheels, hoping for the next big break, sponsor or donor.

I would like to support your efforts. I really enjoyed being crushed by The Brazilian Jesus Wagner Bortalato and dancing with the BBW queens with the CT boys. Next year I hope he breaks my arm so I can fuse it like George.
Lenord please P.M me your info so I can send you a money order sir!

Wow. I was expecting a response something like this , but our friends- armwrestlers always have some hidden secrets. I can imagine what feelings have Denise and Leonard at this time. But, hold on, I'd like to comment some posts...
My dear friend Jamie Sheldon. As I remember ( I might be wrong also) ACAC had bunch of qualifiers in the West recent years ( USAA Nationals, Nevada State in Hawthorne, help me to remember more events) . Many California and Nevada pullers were pulling there with pleasure, winning money prizes with pleasure, qualifing with honour, but 90% of them were not even thinking to attend in ACAC. So, what did it change now?The problem is bigger than having a qualifiing event in your backyard or no. Please, try to look at this with a little bit bigger point of view. Mr. Binnie. To be honest, you could post some more serious comment here considering your person and respect in American Armwrestling , but...whatever. Thanks for saying good luck to Saving ACAC. You are welcome there in March 2013. Dear Kelli, sister of Tom Nelson. Perhaps Leonard's reply says good points. I remeber You and your team mates attending in all big events that Leonard and Denise were doing in Lake Tahoe, Reno, Hawthorne, Oregon. Most guys became armwrestlers pulling there. And now you reply like this? It is not only about ACAC, it is about Leonard and Denise too. ACAC is their child; they created it for us, rised, and now they are in trouble. But we can help them and why not? Refuse has never been the best answer. Tamara, The Canadian Queen! Truely You have the Queen's heart. This is the Best thing that everyone could say as Tamara did!Brave , noble, strong, wise and beautiful. By the way, are You married, Tamara??? I am sure that Canadians think similar. Ryan Espey did. Thanks Ryan. Mr. Ordonne. Yes, Gaspari Nutrition is the major sponsor. Paying $10 000 In $15 000 budget is called MAJOR.

Mr. Green. Again same queastion about adding a class or changing something. Come on, please. I was always pulling in 154 lbs class, but always weighed under that. Only at recent ACAC I could reach closer to that weight. ACAC offers what they have, maybe we should try to fit in there? The problem is different in this thread. Mr. A.K. thinks productive. He lives not in USA, but he thinks that ACAC is important and ready to help! He might be the next Arnold puller, the Man thinks larger. ACAC brings huge credit to Our Sport, he realizes that. Please, mail your check or money order to Denise address on the top of this thread. Denise can help you in international donations. Denise please help him how to do that. The more people like A.K. and AW can be an Olympic sport one day! Dear Mr. Lupkes, My most respective Armwrestler-Friend. I think Leonard has spoken about your point in "ACAC qualifiers" thread. But I am sure, if even You are not satisfied with that, it will not stop You to support ACAC. We need people like You to join. Mr Moore is right in idea to rely on ourselves. We'll do that. Yosef. Your comments says that I lie when I say ACAC needs money to stay alive? Next time think before saying something! Don't try to look like your friend. You were there, you heard that they got a sponsor, but you were so busy in getting free samples of all those nutritions, that you did not even asked Denise how, when and what happened. You didn't care and you dare to speak noiw!!!

Also, people always speak here about becoming an Olympic sport. They are smart, they know how to do that, give advices. I want to say straight; forget about becoming an Olympic sport. It will never happen with Armwrestling. Why? Because Most armwrestlers would rather waste their money on cigaretts, alcohol, marihuana and some other stupid things, than to help their Prestigious Event stay on the stage. We are losing a Large Event and we are talking about becoming an Olympic sport? Forget about that. look at the mirror first!

Vazgen Soghoyan: our last post must have been overlapped or you can really answer fast. ...thank you very much for the kind words...I would prefer pay pal like Mr.Espey...but hey if a check to that Address is preferred then i am cool with it also..Alright... Vazgen... i understand your frustration and believe it or not i am pretty sure all others here can feel it too....please just keep cool...you do the right thing..ty again for your effort. We all need more effective support and simple assertions instead of misunderstandings & circular directions....The Armwrestling-Community is working good together each day (but its not ideal) and we should learn from mistakes and listen carefully to the main problems & each other...so please keep your patient even so your heart beats for this for real as i can read in your posts. You are representing armwrestling very good so far...ty again.

When I was talking to Denise in Columbus, she said that if there are any sponsorship or donations it would be fine to mail to Denise Wattles , 25 Crestline Drive, Billings , Montana 59105. Same time I want to ask Denise and Leonard to inform us about electronic donatios. If everyone could think like you, A.K....
