If you were planning an Armwrestling event what type of event would you have? Would you include music and lights? Would you feature a certain type of match? Indoor or Outdoor? Describe the coolest event you would like to attend. Lets hear from the pullers what YOU would like to see!

(important they work together so it doesn't become a noise / screaming fest) a well-lit venue, family friendly, no smoking *SPORT* venue that screams 'athletic competition' Cameras set up for the matches, piped through CCTV so you can see the matches from any seat in the house Focus on the intent of the event. Is it a Pro event? Then seriously limit the classes. The worst events are the "all things to all people" that last 10 hours... kids, novice, amatuer, masters, opens, challenge matches, overalls.... TOO MUCH. Define the event and stick to it. Refs, scorers, tables need to be top notch |

I just attended it in Reno, top notch talent, top notch refs calling everything and keeping cheating to a minimum, and showcased with professionalism!!!

Im honestly a big fan of the sports bar tournaments (without smoking), granted they are large and have plenty of space. Good music playing and TVs broadcasting the event all around the bar. Lots of energy in those places, even from the non pullers

Good feedback from everybody thanks. I personnally like the go big or go home event with music and MC in tandem. I like Davids thoughts on the Keep it focused and don't get too many classes. I agree that sports bars are awesome venues as long as the space is there and everyone can see the table or at least the monitors. Our upcoming tournament June 9th will be held at a local Casino and we will have music, lights, DJ and MC along with a limited classes but including Supermatches. Its shaping up to be a really great event and we plan to make the next ones even better. Keep the ideas and comments coming.

We are working on the live cam setup to stream to all the monitors in the casino. John pretty much nailed it with his comments for sure. Bill Collins always puts on a top notch event and the UAL shows are just getting better each time, great events.

I would like to see someone get an Infocus machine and do computer based bracketing, and project it onto the wall. Easier on the pullers and the bracketing folks, and it does the eliminations for you. We had it in powerlifting and everyone knew what the order was because it was on the screen. None of the bracket folks ever got bothered. Why can't armwrestling figure it out, we were just dumb power lifters...well I'm still dumb but now I armwrestle.
