Just from seeing the numbers ive seen the other 2 bishops throw around offering on challenges matches, i would guess itd be a far cry from $100. As ive seen them offer $500 & $1,000. But he hasnt said, so idk. I do agree he should go to paul or at least meet close to paul. Pauls the man, play by his rules or wait till a tourney.

Get on hear and talk ur crap like you done something what are you ranked like 20th in the.country Try showing up some where there are actually legit top notch pullers and then maybe just maybe you.could have the.right to.run ur.mouth. If a guy comes on here and publically calls a guy out but is not willing to put money on it then that Is one thing. But Josh called Paul out and said he had $$$ to back it up. Thats pretty badass and should be respected no matter what his rank is. Josh may be way out of his league and Paul might crush him or vice versa but who cares, Josh is willing to lay the money down for Paul to find out. I dont see this as trash talk when somone is willing to put money on the line.
Why is everybody getting so damn sensitive on this board?

Just for the record, I've seen Josh pull in person at SEC Regionals at which he won and beat some pretty good pullers! He is by no means a "CHUMP"! I also don't think that Paul is scared to pull anyone either, so I for one hope to see this match happen sooner than later!

I do believe that anyone should be able to call anyone out. I do believe that the other puller should accept any such challenge.
Under the conditions that:
The challenger needs to put up enough money to make it worth the "top ranked" guy's while. The challenger needs to be willing to travel to the "top ranked" guy's area or to a nearby tournament. There is enough time (usually 2-3 months is sufficient) between the call out and the time of the match.
There was a whole thread on this topic several months back that essentially said the same thing.

Why is everybody getting so damn sensitive on this board? yes I can agree, I think maybe mr Bishop should get in contact with a promotor and or an event that he is interested in and get that promotor to back him with a venue and a place to hold this challenge? calling out? is exactly what it is...it goes back to the old ROMAN days and western days....I'll see your A$$ at high noon...see you in the Lion's Den .all that good stuff.... I personally like it...it got mr Talbott's attention and his reply....good or bad now Mr Talbott is ready to shoot this little gunslinger down.....actually this may have fed a fued and i'd love to see it at this point. good luck with getting the matchup! I don't think it was disrespectful at all, it's just a southern throw-back....these young guys from AL are hunting!! take care guys, lighten up a little...it's a "KID AT HEART" SPORT. LET'S BE KIDS AND MAKE IT HAPPEN! T/K P.S. THE MAN SAID HE HAS SOME $$$ TO BACK HIM UP.... THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE!!

If Talbott has won enough big matches to demand this sort of attention (he has), what is the difference between a counter-party willing to pay big for a crack at just him rather than the counter-party pay a (smaller) tournament entry and a possible crack at him?
In short: getting "called out" is part of the burden of being "The Man." There is no compulsion for "The Man" to accept, but money always talks.

Calling out a puller is one thing. I am a 187/198 guy. It would be crazy if I called out Storm, Razor, Chase, Ryan or Brent...because I haven't yet EARNED that right. Even if I put my own money up and my confidence level is through the roof, because at the end of the day I still haven't shown a reason to call any of them out.
In fairness, Josh has won a regional tournament, and has some impressive challenge match wins under his belt...but nothing, in my opinion, good enough to jump right to the current undesputed Unified champion.
I think there is a lot to be said about paying your dues and putting the time in, and Josh looks to be on his way. That being said, I don't think that it is the call out itself, rather the timing and circumstances that led to the responses. If Josh has 500-1000 to put up on a challenge, and also the means to travel here to OH/PA...then why didn't he spend a fraction of that to go to Reno and prove it just 4 weeks ago?
At any rate, if this goes down as a true challenge, I just want to be either at our normal OH training spot or Erie to tape the sucker! I will hold the money too!!

The cash you're willing to bet on yourself is a viable substitute for "earning" it, but thats just my pragmatic point of view.
