So Josh pulls at 198. Beats Ray and Colby wins 198 states in Alabama a few months ago. Congrats! Calling out a 165 pound guy? Can you even make 165? Try Herman Mcoy or Randy Weaver. How bout Mike Vaz? Eric Wolfe? Stick with your weight category. What are you trying to prove? These guys are top notch in your weight class. Try them. Just saying.

The cash you're willing to bet on yourself is a viable substitute for "earning" it, but thats just my pragmatic point of view. I LIKE THIS GUY! point made...money talks..... noone gave Karl a chance in hell in beating Tom Nelson..... you never know until it happens. If the man is putting up the cash?..it's a legit call out.....he's got more to lose than pride alone....his wallet too. No MAN is beyond a challenge if the $ is right. TK

He pulled 176 @ Regionals, and has pulled at 76 for the last couple tournaments from what I can see. I will say, from first hand knowledge, that I pulled Paul when he was 181 pounds, and that was a freight train...so if this happens at 176 good luck to Josh.
Paul was letting us get into our power and laying us down like we were children, let Tim Lewis get into his hook lock and layed him down nice and easy. Not many guys are able to slow pull Tim in a hook and make it look like child's play. Paul is truly legit, and scared of nobody.

Sounds like alot of hype if you ask me. You should never be afraid to call someone out no matter who they are or how good they are at a sport. People that are afraid usually dont call people out. This guy has the money and it didnt sound like disrespect just a good old fashioned challenge. Im new and i wouldnt be afraid to call someone out even if they were really good. What does it matter? Seriously

Not sure Herman. All I can say is that Paul trains with a lot of guys who have won state, national and world titles. All of them will tell you the same thing, Paul is a freak of nature who has taken to this sport very quickly and dominantly.
Josh's best win on paper is, who, Ray Hennericks? Well Paul beat him, and also Luke Kindt, Ovi Dragomir, Yosef Chalbi and other above average guys in 1 weekend. On top of beating guys right along since coming back from his arm break. I am a nobody, but I know when I see somebody special. When Paul won 4 classes undefeated at Iron City (a tournament notorious for producing "next big things") and then won the overall beating a heavyweight who had qualified for the Arnolds 3 years previous, I was shocked and proud to name him as a guy I know and train with. Unless you have seen him in person or practiced with him, you don't understand where he is at and where he is capable of going.
I gave credit to Josh, he is on his way, but Paul is there now. He has traveled outside his backyard and beaten all the guys in his way. Josh has yet to do that. I am sure he is the freak of his neighborhood, but Paul right now is the freak period. That is my opinion, and I do not speak for Paul.
I can see that we are dividing along regional lines, which is understandable. We are also defending people that we have trained or competed with, again understandable. What I don't want to get into is minimalizing the accomplishments or success of either guy.

I think everyone has their own opinions, because we "know" what we have seen them do. I posted awhile back about Craig Tullier, and some people said stuff like "who has he beat lately", "where has he been", "he's been gone to long", etc. Then low and behold, he shows up at Unifieds and beats everybody! I guess what i'm saying is never underestimate anyone or think that no one can be beat, because fact is anyone can be beat on any given day!

whoa, you are comparing tullier to this other kid? Big difference.
Im all for calling someone out, in a normal way, not this bull where you ask are you scared, and all this disrespect. We are Paul's friends, not just team-mates. Damn right we will always be ready to defend him aggressively, In any way, always.
We are holding a tourny late July or early August. You just became the super-match for it. So you let me know what weekend works best, it will be fun to have our local people celebrate Paul's National Title's and see him in a match vs. a guy who went this route.
So dont be scared, name your amount, I will match it, and even work with you on some costs. You got what you wanted.
