If we're going to mention Gabe Accardi, we have to throw Norm Devio in there as well. In their primes, I've heard they were complete animals in their respective classes, and would dominate a class or two, or even three up... Even into his 70's, Norm has taken on larger elite U.S. pullers and beaten them. But I think Norm and Gabe might fall into that "ape" category that RVJ mentioned earlier. For their build, these guys are just stupid strong. Maybe we could even throw Jim Fitzsimmons lefty in there. Saw a video of him vs Binnie, and it was a WAR. Binnie ended up taking the win, but he definitely worked his tail off for it, and there was certainly a big weight gap, with Binnie being an elite puller at the higher weight. (not sure on the circumstances of that pull, who was fresh and who was not, but it was an inspiring match)
These are just a few throwbacks though.

To me the formula is simpler: By definition, the best p4p couldn't lose to a lighter weight opponent, forget weight classes. If a guy 172 looses to a guy 171, then you know the 172 is not the best p4p. Now of course AWing is a sport where lesser people can sneak matches in on better people so you'd have to decide how to allow for that (ie one mulligan maybe two) but to keep it simple the question becomes, who has gone the longest without losing to someone lighter than them? I think it's been about 8 years for Devon, maybe never for Roman Ts, those are the two front runners IMO

The best p4p in NA currently may be the best heavyweights as mentioned. If you compare the NA pullers with pullers from all over the world, the NA heavyweights will do best. Sounds logic?

Back in August Chad pulled Cobro in Florida and Cobra gave Chad a match. Just recently Craig Tullier pulled Cobra and flashed Cobra twice .

It sounds like perfect logic to me. People are often compelled to think that p4p needs to be a light guy, this of course is not true.

Chad and Craig just need to pull to end all this speculation. When Chad is back healthy, someone (UAL in A-City) needs to make this happen.

No.disrespect to Cobra, but Chad didn't have any matches. We should just ask Cobra. Looked.like Chad was giving Cobra some respect to me.

I always enjoy reading the opinions of the local followers about the local hero. Even when the local hero is or was in fact an elite puller.
I think there are two different conversation going on in this thread. 1. P4P "Best AW" and 2. P4P "Strongest AW" and their is a vast difference between the two and would have totally different answers.
When talking the BEST, then you would compare how they compete against others within a class. For just one example, Who does best in their class at the Worlds or any Main event.
When talking about the STRONGEST, then the answers will always be a smaller guy because as when muscle size grows, it does not carry over directly to muscle strength in the same way. For ex. In the bench world. Lighter guys are Tripling their body weight while Larger guys are only Doubling it.
Food for thought

Craig did beat cobra easily and Scott Ballinger easily.
