Ray Patton is the man! Not 1000% positive, but I believe he trained Travis years ago.

I have to say that Jason always gave me the most challenge consistently in the straps , But i.m pretty sure I have more wins on him in the straps than he does me . Most recently a super match in NYC 4 years ago .I won the first two matches and he didn't want to go a third time . It was always a good time pulling him with mutual respect in the straps !We both wanted to be in the straps there was no point in even setting up with out them . it was inevitable we would always end up there.

I was thinking that Jason beat you easily the first match in the straps. Match #2 you stopped him and burned him out and won. Match #3 was not even close as you handled him easily. Probably wrong on the first match but that was what I recalled.

Bill, Rick Laton is right…The first match was a long set up after the slip and I won. You won the next two and I didn't want to do three out of five. That was a month out of the slammer…and you won once at the javits. see you soon

John and I did not pull in straps at the main even. We pulled afterward as well as Jerry and I. It was a long time ago and only practice and John was as light as ever but I didn't go down that day in the straps at practice afterwards…

All I can say is that I am so honored to be mentioned even once here. Thanks all. I can tell you that I learned from Cobra mostly and Dave Patton next. I truly learned in the middle of a strap match back at the Yukon Jack Tournament at the South Street Seaport in New York against Allen Fischer. His huge hand and my family and friend cheering turned desperation mode on and it just happened. You can talk and talk about techniques but you really get them ingrained in your mental/physical sports metabolism from being in a match and utilizing or creating a technique.
