I have to disagree with you on this one, RVJ. The game of arms has some great talent. Cobra, Travis, Mike Selearis, Dave Chaffee, Craig Tullier, James Wagner, Woody, just to name a few. I think these pullers could take some title belts from the UAL. This will never happen. I personally do not see the Game of Arms champions going head to head with the UAL champions. It would be very exciting to see though.

Never said there wasn't great talent... I just think if you had a clash of classes that ual has a deeper pool

I am excited about this event. Not sure if I will get some prize money but I do know that it will help me learn more about the sport. Only 300 pullers are allowed to enter so I pre registered yesterday

From what I understand UAL pullers can't pull in this event

Now we have to big leagues with alot of talent. The UAL has been here for a little while and they have a very good base of pullers. Of course the game of arms is limited to the people who are chosen to be on the show. The only way for the two league champions to go head to head is with the approval of the league owners. Im not 100% sure how all of this works, but doesn't the UAL world champions have to wait for a title match before they can pull? They can't just enter an event. You have to be a UAL signed athlete to pull for the title. So the game of arms champions would have to sign with the UAL to pull the champions. Robert Drenk is a businessman. He has way too much invested in his champions and his company to put them at risk of losing. Im not saying that they all would lose, but it is possible that it could happen. Im sure they all would love to bang heads, and this would be the biggest event the USA could have. The UAL world champions vs the Game of Arms champions! It would be epic!!!

Contract says we can't play in WAL or any other league. So they'll have to come get some. And I asked just in case. I will be in audience of the Arnold's anyway

UAL is a league and has contracted Athletes that are exclusive GOA is a "Reality Show" two total different deals. The UAL tournaments are open for anyone to compete but if I'm correct most of the GOA athletes signed contracts that limited them from competing in the UAL. We have the best in North America on contracts, would a few of the GOA guys make good matches for some of our contracted athletes sure and that could happen via a tournament at UAL if there contract allowed it but with that said none of them will ever be a UAL World Champion because only contracted UAL athletes can compete in the Ultimate Match Ups. As for this new league no offense but I think it's a tad disrespectful for everyone to be so quick to jump on the band wagon and not have a little loyalty and support a league that's invested so much for the sports long term goals and growth. Why would UAL athletes go pull in a first time league event? Not saying it's another Las Vegas situation but who knows?! We have and will continue to support the sport and grow the UAL, we've been in the game since 2010, made every payout put on top notch events and continue to improve. We will show loyalty to those whom do the same! It's time to show your colors.
Some of you will understand and some won't, when you have 4 years and a ton of your personal money into a business giving opportunity to people then when a competitor (new league) comes around and you watch those same people start promoting there 1st time event and talking about competing in that event it simply shows no loyalty or regard to the money and time we spent giving you this opportunity (signed athletes). The problem with this sport has been exactly this people are afraid to invest into a sport where there's no return on investment, that return will only come once loyalty has been established and we all are one team, that's what we've been trying to accomplish with the affiliated program.
Continued:
It is easy to throw a tournament and hand out cash it's a total different investment when you're putting a production together and making a run at Sports Broadcasting. I think this sport has one GOOD shot at making it and it's going to take a lot of cash, quality material, loyal athletes and organizations to make it come together. If you want the sport to grow unfortunately you will need to choose what group you believe in and Run with your decision, hang in there and stay true to your team. We've proven our stake in this game, it's about to be a fun ride for the UAL Loyal Athletes!

I guess I don't understand the whole "Game of Arms Champion" I thought it was a reality show about the arm wrestling life not an arm wrestling federation?

Joe, GOA is a reality show, not a league. The WAL from what I've been told is also going to be a TV show (spin off of GOA), same production guys doing it. I'm still trying to get all the details myself, if this isn't correct I will post it ASAP, but this March tournament is happening.

Robert, I totally understand what you are saying. You have gone far and above what anyone else has done. You are doing great things and have signed great athletes. Your champions are all world class. I don't think you have anything to worry about. You have loyal pullers and you will do better with each event.

Robert, I hope you're not referring to me as being unloyal to UAL .. I was interested in seeing if this event was UAL affiliated or not because the payouts are pretty good and it's not far from home if it does turn out to be another "Vegas cluster f*ck" which I flew out to so I am very grateful and impressed with how your team pulled that one off! I've been to I believe 5 different UALs now and am always wearing UAL gear at the gym and spreading the word there and at the affiliated tournaments. I am loyal and am not going out of my way to jump to a different league ... just want to pull again before UAL 7 which I am definitely going to!

I just returned from L.A. and we met to discuss the W.A.L. This is 100% legit and backed by a man who knows the owners of Undertow, saw what it is we do, and was blown away and has the means to start this new league. ( like Robert Drenk did)
He is very impressive and has done huge things in life and business. It is nice to have options, and this is another one for us to compete at. Im no spokesman this is just the little I know, and we will be there to see the first event for sure.

Don Fritsche and Mike Bowling have been in the "game" pulling and promoting for like a 100 years and have also invested a ton of their own personal money over the years to put on BADASS events such as the real Harley Pull(s) and Ruler of the Nation tournaments which gave out real new Harley's and paid out $20k purses. So, if the GOA has given them an avenue to ride the lightning and get a R.O.I. for all the years and money they put in, I can't think of any 2 guys more deserving than them. Edit: I want to go on record and say, if this GOA show blows up nationally, back around 09 when he stayed with me for a couple days, I all but begged Gary Roberts to stop wasting his energy, time and money filming tournaments and to use his very nice cameras and production to put together some sort of reality tv programming documentary type thing involving the interesting folks of our sport. Something that he could package up and sell to a network that would appeal to the masses during this reality TV craze. If it worked out he could roll in the dough and turn his site into a free aw video hosting site and possibly get revenue from sponsors at some point. BUT, he never gave it much effort or thought. Note; this was right before and around the time he started pissing and moaning to us about only 400 armtv members and trying to create a ponzi scheme with membership so, he was either tone deaf or didn't want to listen to any out of the box ideas. Everything has worked out for him I guess thanks to a reality weight loss show about himself, just not on the AW side of things. BTW, has anybody heard from or seen that guy lately? Last I heard he ran off with the "circus" or joined a cult or something....very strange .
