Robert,
First I would like to say thank you for all the UAL has done.
It is my understanding that the WAL is open to anyone and both the WAL and GOA athletes are welcome to enter any event they want including the UAL.
I know that you have allowed UAL contracted athletes to enter other organizations events even though they are not affiliated with the UAL. Are you allowing UAL athletes to enter the WAL event in March?
Thanks again to all organizations that are trying to help our sport

Wow. This thing could be big. If someone has the bank and business sense (because he doesn't), they would buy Gary Roberts out and get the rights to all Armtv's stuff (prior to this show starting). Run a few commercials on the show for the site, charge $1 a day to view or make it free, but go after advertisers and make some $$$BANK$$$. There will be a demand for his stuff, but not many casual fans are gonna pay what he's asking.

That's quite the stats. I know I saw ads on AMC every commercial break. I have seen it when out at restaurants and bars ... A lot of buzz about this and it hasn't even aired yet. Lots of people have asked me about it... It's pretty surprising actually.... My accountant came out and asked me about it and I talk to him 15 mins a year. People ask me about travis and mike Selearis like they know them by first name... Again... It's only been commercials. Interesting to see how ratings fare... It has the start of something big no doubt.

Bob, you seem like a pretty smart guy. I would assume you'd figure that one out on your own. What percentage of the national audience do you think has seen a UAL commercial? Zero correct? Cause there isnt any. What percentage do you think has seen a GOA commercial? Bingo! When something is exposed to a larger audience, more people will know. I dont care if they had a page for one day or 1 year. Its simple numbers. The majority of the likes on UAL is armwrestlers or their friends and family. GOA has likes from people that know nothing about armwrestling. Go to the picture the GOA posted of some of the people on the show. Especially, Allen. A lot of them guys make fun of him and say they can beat him and haven't armwrestled anyone outside their friends on a coffee table. If and when UAL has the tv show and runs commercials, the "likes" will explode. Till then there is a limited audience. I cant wait to watch the show though. I like almost everything armwrestling

I must not be a pretty smart guy. Because without you brilliant input and analysis, I would of never figured that out. Thank you

I am new to the sport but have been watching arm wrestling for some time. From a spectator's point of view I believe they definitely need to cut down on the slips and regrips. No regular person is going to watch arm wrestling matches for 8-10 hours. So if that means not showing it live to give them a chance to edit the production I think they would get a larger audience. That is why the GOA will capture the average joes attention. We will only be seeing the best side of arm wrestling!

My only fear for GOA is it looks kind of like they are presenting the sport as Fight Club- as if a bunch of dudes travel around to hold underground events in abandonded warehouses.
Don't take that the wrong way- I think it will be exciting. I can't wait to see it- the previews just have me cautious about pumping it up to people I know outside of the sport just yet.
Then again, my wife already calls our sport the "secret society." Trade "warehouse" for "dumpy bar" and suddenly it's not that far off the mark.

You're welcome Bob. The least I could do. Seeing how after it was stated 15 million times that UAL aw's cant pull in organizations not affiliated, and you still asked if UAL can pull the WAL event. That question has been answered so many times. In threads that you comment in. So I know you know this. But you and others continue to beat this dead horse. Dont put stupid posts if you dont want smart a.ss replies. GOA has more fb likes. Big fcking deal. Obviously I did over estimate your intelligence.

Doug, apparently you didn't read all of Bob's post, note the highlighted area. Maybe that's why he's asking.
"I know that you have allowed UAL contracted athletes to enter other organizations events even though they are not affiliated with the UAL."

What he said.....^^^^^^^ lol
You are correct. That has been stated 15 millions times, yet I know for a fact that Robert has let contracted AW's pull in NON-affiliated events. I thought "maybe" he might let some pull this one as well.

Guys, rule of thumb is that UAL athletes can pull in non-affiliated events provided they do not offer cash prizes. Rob Drenk can elaborate on the thinking behind this if he chooses.

^^^^^ what he said... lol
You can if there is no cash prizes. And there may be one or two that he allowed in something else because of an agreement between them that doesn't include everyone. But you said you thought UAL might let UAL pullers in to showcase their talent. What's there to showcase. The elite guys proved themselves already. There is guys that CAN NOT compete in the Arnold's that qualified which is a badas.s tournament. But all the sudden "maybe" he will let them pull in the organization that may end up being his biggest competition. Use your common sense! Its simple. ANYWAY, my point in even replying to this, which I dont very often. Is who gives a fck if they have more Facebook likes. And why you felt the need to point that pointless stat out. And Mike, I did read his ignorant post just as well as I read yours. And I still think it was fcking pointless. Thanks for pointing it out.

Btw. If you look at a game of arms post that just randomly pops up. I saw the word "sponsored" under their name. Which means they paid money to have their ads ran. And it will pop up on everyone's page. UAL hasn't done that. And that I know for a FACT. Asked the man myself. Im done with this thread. We wont see goa vs UAL.... unless they come to ual tournaments. Point blank. Later
