This is going to be a very exciting event coming up in March. wawl.net/event-details/ The Games of Arms show will of been starting to air on AMC. www.amctv.com/shows/game-of-armsThe UAL has started to grow rapidly. theual.com/ I am very excited to see these two leagues go head to head. Can't wait to see Micheal Todd, Todd Hutchings, John Brzenk, RVJ and all others go head to head against the Games of Arms pullers. Oh and wait, we may get to see another Kevin Bongard vs Mike Selearis again. YES YES YES Thank to these two leagues for 2014. Should be great Good Luck to all.

I'm pretty confident that at this point in time UAL has the dominant pullers throughout the classes.... And even a solid handle on the next few places after first in a few classes.... JMHO

Bongard is gonna be I giant hill to climb in 185... He is not champ yet... But I can't see the scenario in which he loses.

What class will you be in Rob?
I agree Bongard will be a big hill but Mike S. gives him issues. And don't forget about Craig T.

So,
If I understand correctly, The WAL tourney will have game of arms athletes, UAL athletes and non signed athletes competing, regardless of contract status?
If that's correct let me just go ahead and book my flight.

I'm not sure of my option to pull these events ... But my weight is comfortably around 200-205.

I don't think Bob's post was meant to suggest you will have pullers from both camps at the event listed above. I believe he was just listing some of the exciting things happening in armwrestling now, and speculating that he would like to see the top guys from each league face off.

Ah, that makes more sense.
Thanks.

If the contracts are real, and the money is real, both the UAL and GoA people would be crazy to allow cross-competing. I will take Jake Smith for example. He is the current UAL Middleweight World Champion. He has built for himself a solid reputation, but (to my knowledge) doesn't come east of the Mississippi or hasn't for a long time. Robert Drenk has put money into his product, building his champions and marketing them through UAL while continuing to be mostly regional west of the Rockies. What monetary or reputational benefit does the UAL have if during a cross competition if Jake loses to a GoA puller? Or a WAL puller? And Vice Versa. This happened in the world of MMA recently, and before that the NFL/AFL. There were dream match ups (Wandy/Chuck, Fedor/UFC Champ, etc), that did not have a payoff worth the risk.

So can UAL contracted athletes pull this? Maybe only champions can't? If the rest of us can, that'd be awesome!

Big things are happening this year for the sport of arm wrestling!!
This tournament has a pretty good payout ... So assume this is on March 1st? And who can answer if this is UAL affiliated or not??

Actually, I was thinking about the UAL pullers being entered in this event. I think it would be a great opportunity for the UAL to showcase their pullers.

Cody, as far as I know this isn't UAL affiliated, at least the rules are not exactly the same. My understanding is to be UAL affiliated you must use UAL rules.
