Ban the first Triple Crown Winner? I'm not well versed in the organizational politics. Never have been able to really devote the time to sort out the rifts that over the years have developed between org's and individuals or groups. No organization or commitee should become so self important that they lose track of the direction the represented faction would like to go. Example, NCAA. Andrew Rhodes has been everything from Color Commentator to Triple Crown Winner. And an Inspiration to the likes of us that haven't been. He's a big reason some of us lay out thousands of dollars over the years to go to the big venues and get a chance to pull the likes of him. Sort it out, settle it, but please fix it. I second that.

Armwrestling.......It's not like Baseball or Basketball or Football....BECAUSE...THE ATHLETES LOSE MONEY JUST ATTENDING THE G0DD*MN EVENT. IF THIS IS WHAT THE USAA IS ABOUT, I WILL HAVE NOTHING MORE TO DO WITH IT. This is not the USAA it is the WAF and Fred Roy and Willy.

Simon, you and John Wilson over the years have probably been the only two people I have agreed with entirely when it comes to issues such as this. I trust you and Bill Collins will serve us all well.

Setting the record straight
Dear Armwrestlers,
There has been a lot of talk on the board concerning the alleged suspension or banning of Cobra Rhodes from participating at Worlds in Manchester. I would like to set the record straight by explaining the telephone conversation I had with Cobra.
Cobra called me asking what was going on between the IPAA and WAF. I explained to Cobra that the IPAA had been asked to support WAF in its decision to suspend athletes who have tested positive for banned substances.
Should the IPAA chose not support WAF a motion would be brought to Congress asking the membership to vote on banning any future athlete that participate in any IPAA event from competing in future EAF and WAF events.
I never said he was suspended nor did I ban him from competing at Worlds.
A letter has been sent to the IPAA asking them to cooperate with WAF for the advancement of the sport. Should they not comply a motion will be brought to Congress in Manchester, it will be discussed and then voted on by people you have all elected to represent your Country that vote will determine which course of action WAF will take. Once a protocol is set by WAF Congress then it is the duty of the Executive Committee to follow the protocol.
I hope that this will help everyone understand that Fred nor myself have not made any decisions without the full approval of its members and that this has all be a total misunderstanding.
Yours in armwrestling
Willy Deneumostier

This is for Willy Deneumoister: We are all behind Cobra Rhodes. It sounds like this may have been a misunderstanding. So, are you saying that Cobra is allowed to compete as a Team USA competitor in England? That is the big question here. I, for one, didn't understand why, or how this could have happened, but we just wanted you to clarify this. Thank you.

Andrew, USAA (United States Armwrestling Association) with Leonard as President and me as Executive Director have absolutely nothing to do with this. Please don't confuse the organizations. Denise

Denise, we all know that the USAA has nothing to do with any of this. The USAA is a top notch organization, and you have too much class to be involved with this!!

Willie since they will not answer I will answer, as long as Cobra is willing to be bullied into not going to the IPAA event, then he can go to Manchester, if he goes to the IPAA they will ban him from the WAF.
They are claiming that they will now (after this surfaced) take this to a vote of the congress, I doubt this will alter the situation, due to the power these three men wield most likely this ban will pass the Congress and from that day on, anyone, including innocent armwrestlers without a drug suspensions that pull IPAA events will be banned. The IPAA and any other groups they target next, under this same "anti drug" ruse, claiming it was a democratic decision.

I would be very interested in pulling with the IPAA, I don't care if the WAF votes in a lifetime ban and a 100 floggings, I would still do it.
