"I knew you would, but I think that is because he was Catholic" You crack me up bill "I didn't say it was a christian movie just that Tolkien was a devout christian" My statement was based on the fact a a 25 year old christian book store here in baton rouge began selling it as a christian movie. Not saying it was the the cause but interesting that the 25 year old book store went bankrupt shortly after selling it as a christian movie.

todd i respect your difference in opinojun on so many subjects, and for your moderate respect of my opinoins i respect you as a man. however comments like "jesus had to get laid, he was just a man"
is a highly offensive statement, if you can refrain from such comments in the future it would be greatly appreciated.

Areed, comments like that are offensive Todd and Christian.
Ryan, I personally dont know a whole lot about the movie. I run a youth group and am starting to get a lot of questions from them about it. I didnt plan on seeing it but am now for education and answers to all who have them. Just as we prepared ourselves with answers after The Passion came out, I think it is even more important to be educated when people may be led astray...JMO...... and a lot of other good brothers and sisters in Christ i know do feel the same way.

Harold - Are you putting the Passion of Christ and the Divinci code in the same category?

Only in the catagory of using them as witnessing tools... What catagory are you refering?
I thought The Passion was a great movie and pretty dang accurate.

i totally agree with that concept Harold. But i would recommend that you guys read up on things that discredit and expose the error, rather than pay $7 per person to contribute to the garbage.
But if you watch the history channel long enough they will have several shows through out the day endorsing the movie and the concept behind it.

All I have to say is I the da vinci code is is just another attempt to discourage people and their beliefs, And their will be more like it. And also I am dissapointed with Christian Binnies remark about Jesus and Mary magdaline. I will pray for him and all others who think alike.

;D o.k. my point.... ITS A F-ING FICTIONAL MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just like what I originally said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FICTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!
Just wanted to watch who would actually get "upset" over a STUPID statement, just like those who would WASTE their time AND energy getting "upset" over a STUPID movie......The more you talk about it, the more people will want to go WASTE their money to see what the FICTIONAL movie is all about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: Just curious to all those that find this FICTIONAL movie so upsetting.....How come nothing has been said about the book? Its been out much longer than this FICTIONAL movie.
Also I don't see to many "Roman Catholics" on here upset, considering its the Roman Catholic Church ( which BTW Rome didn't "control, or should I say have "control " back when this FICTIONAL movie was supposed to take place. It was the "catholics", Latin btw, in the East who held the "majority" and "control" over what happened with in the "Catholic" church) that bears the brunt of the B.S. in the movie.....BECAUSE WE KNOW ITS FICTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!
AND PLEASE DON'T PRAY FOR ME! You're wasting your time!

Christian's way may have been blunt, but it awakens you to see another perspective, whether you agree or not.
