I like Ron Paul but he doesn't have much of a chance. So far Mitt has looked the best of the 'big 3'. I expect Thompson to eventually become the frontrunner though.

Im sorry, but mitt romney doesnt have a chance in this present day country.
the only reason he is even showing up in the polls is because people and the media give him air time because of his religion. other than him being mormon, he is a big flip floppin candidate.
I dont agree with guliani on abortion and a few issues....but i do respect that he isnt chaning positions just for the elections.
Mike huckabee is a very humble and honorable man......we need humility in the white house. I think he and fred thompson are the best candidates as far as humility.
the difference between huckabee and thompson is thompson has a power about him. his voice is strong and powerful, he comes off like he is your grandpa. he is solid and strong....this country desperatly needs leadership like that.
I would love to see thompson and huckabee as pres and vice pres...i honestly think that would be the winning ticket hands down.
Bush beat kerry soley on the morality ticket......the american people want a leader who was morals....granted some could argue whether or not bush morals where genuine...i think they were...but he is dropping the ball on this immigration thing....and it makes me sick.

i find that you like ron paul to be a very humorous statement that dude doesnt stand a chance and doesnt deserve to even be on the same stage and stealing the time of the others candidates.

well for one in hiss debates he presents himself as a mangy poodle on crack One thing romeny does have going for him that ron paul certianly lacks is being publicly presentable....ya gotta look good on camera... and ron paul doesnt have that for sure......along with funed and uninformed comments on the war

So you don't like Paul because of his appearance. Gotcha.
By the way, over half of this country's registered voters AGREE with Ron Paul's stance on the war.

Why does it matter? You won't vote for him regardless of which side of an imaginary fence he sits on.

^His stance on the war isn't really a 'democratic' one anymore. For many years now the republicans have tried desperately to stick with their president, despite his blunders, but alas, even hardcore conservatives are having a hard time staying onboard Bush's sinking ship. Many of them, including Paul, have admitted the blunders of the war. The question is no longer "is the war justified" so much as "what do we do now?"
As much as I felt the war was a mistake from the beginning, I do not believe we can just pull out right now. That's why I'm not necessarily in favor of a liberal candidate that will push for an immediate withdrawal. But at the same time, it's hard for me to consider a conservative candidate if they stand up there at a debate podium and try to tell me that they think the war was justified. That's why I'm torn when it comes to Mitt. I like his "carry a big stick" mentality, but he still doesn't feel the war was unjustified, which concerns me. Paul, on the other hand, opposed the war from day one, but favors timetables for a pullout, which I don't agree with.

This has been discussed in other threads. Please search back for what I've said because it's a lot to type.
