Is this the best 3 pullers if you had a tournament and there was only one weight class or is this the best three pullers in their respective divisions?
If it's the best in their respective divisions....
1 - Jeremy Fraley left handed hands down. 2 - Chad Efird doesn't pull much but he HAS got to be in the Top 3 3 - Junior Andrews or myself maybe.
If it's the 3 best PERIOD....
1 - Paul Walther 2 & 3 - Chad Efird, Bucky Russell, Darnel Burris or Clint Alwran
One match, a guy named Adrianne Dennis could probably beat them all.

Just met Bart the owner of the local Crossfit gym where the tournament is being held. Cool guy. Going to be a good place for a tournament. If you beat me armwrestling I can race you up some ropes, beat you at some squats and do a whole bunch other cool stuff. Hope you guys can make it. I think the Novice classes should be really good too. See you soon.

^^^ I disagree totally... It gets you past plateaus and natural limitations It is responsible for a level attained that would have been naturally un reachable without them Jay cutler is a tremendous bodybuilder, he probably works hard as anyone in the sport, but he wouldn't be top 1000 in that sport had it not been for all the drugs... That's not hating or jealousy it's fact. Same could be said for Arsen... Like it or not He would be 176 world champ and maybe a few classes higher, but his level attained was due to the help that broke barriers. Training... No training... It's bunk... It's like puting a turbo on a car... Don't bury your head in the sand and act like it doesn't do exactly what it does... It enhances... Hence performance enhancing drug Arsen would not be I this debate if he wasn't aided... You wouldn't even know he exists, there are plenty of motivated, hard working and gifted athletes you don't know from Adam Who is Adam? ;D

Getting a little closer. Thought I would bump this one back up to the top. I don't think that any of these "Qualifiers" are going to be large due to the fact that they are going on all over the country on the same day. Should be fairly easy to qualify to Ohio. Remember: Once you qualify, all you have to do is get to Ohio. Your entry fee is already paid for you!

I agree that there are still a lot of broken arms. I do think that their are reasons for that though. I think that you are more "Outside" your hand with straight across pads before you even say go. I think that steroids are more rampant than every before (In armwrestling at least). 25 years ago your new pullers were plumbers, mechanics, carpenters and guys that were strong in the hands and wrist. Now it seems like so many of the new guys walk in the door strong in the chest, shoulders and tricep and they are trying to push so hard with their shoulder that their bones can't take it. I'm not saying there are more people pulling now than then but I think we definitely have more NOVICE guys trying it out for the first time and the majority of the broken arms are novice or at least fairly new guys. In our tournament "Get A Grip" we had 3 broken arms in the first 2 years (1999 & 2000), all novice and all on straight across pads. We changed the following year (2001) and have been fortunate since then. I don't like straight across pads as a puller but I do think they HELP eliminate some of the problem. Just my 2 cents.
PS - John, check you pm's!

Do most tourneys feature offset pads? I have a table that my wife bought for me about 10 years ago. I have pulled on it a grand total of somewhere around 6 times. Getting some competent instruction now (as of last week) and I had wondered about the pads being straight across. I won't be able to buy a new one for quite a while (6-month old baby) so do you guys think I should make a new table with offset pads to train with? You can make a straight across table an offset table in one night. PM me for how it's done. You should also make it where you can switch from right to left in about 5 seconds. We just made ours where they switched about 6 months ago after 25 years of one right hand and one left hand table. Best thing we have done in years. You definitely don't need a new table. I have for sure seen a DRAMATIC decrease in broken arms since they went to offset pads. Still see them get broken but at no where near the same rate.

I heard Jeremy Fraley decided to pull up at 176 left handed. Heard he took 2nd to Chad Silvers. Was able to squeak by everybody else. One of my pullers said they heard he beat Tony Bishop a couple of times. That's a good win. Maybe he will move up in the rankings now!

What's the weight on this one? Robert Plyler might be interested. He's around 195 right now. His is a lefty.

I have always been clean and have competed for 23 years. But I think I am done in the sport. The only way I would compete again is drug testing or local tournament. I will continue to train with guys in NC because I enjoy it. No disrespect Paul, we are close in age, are you telling me in your entire sporting career you have never taken so much as an over the counter test booster? If you say no I won't challenge it, I am just saying candidly I don't know any athletes our age that did not at least try these things right off the GNC shelf. I'm 46 and can honestly say that I have taken creatine for about a month and protein off and on here and there. That's it. No test boosters for me for sure. That's probably why I suck but it's also probably part of the reason I have pulled consistently for 26 years. It's pretty pathetic actually. I'm about the same now that I was after a couple of years in the sport. Not better, but definitely not worse. A little working out here and there wouldn't hurt either! Maybe one day I'll decide to get serious. A little training and a large dose of PED's and I could probably do some damage!

If I pause it and come back, how long will it go before it skips some or starts over? Can I come back in 2 hours and get it all or will I miss something? Thanks in advance.
