i am curious what some of you have to say about the man that i would call "the best armwrestler in the world .....right now"
although i quit armwrestling some time ago i still follow it to some degree....and i cant see anyone being any better pound for pound rightnow or over the last 3-5 years than Arsen Liliev.
i am amazed at how strong that guy is....and he manages to do it with a hand that, as far as i can see, is smaller than most of his competitors. something that most pullers here in the US seem to think is nearly impossible.
i would like to hear some of your opinions (respectful please) on his style: how would yo describe his method of pulling, setting up. training etc....
also: describe to me what makes Arsen so effective as an armwrestler....why has he been so successful? i am of the opinon that the guy is just too damn strong. lol
if you do not agree with my choice for "best armwrestler in the world.....right now"....then who do you think deserves this accolade. (please use current pullers ....hence the "right now" reference)
the dude is ferocious....a friggin animal....he scares me....
any thoughts, comments or suggestions?

I think losing at worlds to krasimer.... And Todd hutchings at the same weight make him far from too strong and not nearly other worldly like you propose.
... He is a chemical science experiment... ... Yet very polished ... Rarely doesn't foul ... He is great in straps... Which is why the hand isn't a limiting factor thus far, but is susceptible to getting caught
I give him props for being good... But his level attained is not because of his hard work... Buff said... He is sound, but can't start fair or keep his elbow in the pad... He is stronger than most for sure... But like I said... It has been proven he isn't the strongest or leagues above like you think . With the new knowledge and ever evolving sport I see him getting caught more and more

P4P?
Seriously?
Change the title of the thread then.
"Imaginary best aw in the world." P4P really doesn't mean much. Either you're the best or your not.
"Best weight class aw in the world" could be a better title as well. Definitely NOT the best aw in the world.
You want respectful replies about someone who was just popped for roids at WAF? Heh, good luck.
Some other reasons for his success (even though he's currently banned) are huge elbow fouls that rarely get called for whatever reason. Many of his notable matches can and would have been negated by competent refereeing.
Best aw in the world??? Is this a troll thread?

.. The best ?... Overall ?... I'd say Devon or john today... But a few guys are really chomping at the bit and could create an epic upset nobody sees coming like bishop in Vegas...
I def don't think it's Arsen... That's not me being a hater at all.. I just see his vulnerabilities and the list of people that can exploit them

Lost the best of... But did beat him in a match... As did krasimer... Which shows there are others in his league ... He is not other worldly... Sorry

Sorry well if taking losses from others in your class makes you less than....then Devon is also "not other worldy" right? i never said Arsen was "other worldy" by the way....i said he was a bad ass. devon took losses to MIke todd, Devon lost to tim bresnan, he took a loss to don underwood...etc.... check the title of the thread: there is a question mark in it....im just asking a question: is there a solid argument for the notion that Arsen liliev is the best pound for pound AWer in the world?
