I just wanted to update everyone about how my arms healing a d say thank you to all who have sheon support to me throughout this and my time in armwrestling you all are truly a special family! It's been 9 weeks i got back in the gym this week started doing pushups and pull ups and light weight lifting . I've had two syrgerys so far on my arm with the first being the rod and screws and then a scope to figure out what's up with my nerve. Still recovering slowly from a severe case of nerve palsy but things are coming along week by week. I feel like I'll be back to normal in two-three months and hopefully someday after my military career I can return if not competing as a referee or mentor, again thank you everyone for your prayers and support! Pull on!

After yhis last week i had to promise my boss i will never armwrestle again. sorry to tell everyone but im officially done. my military carreer is to important and the fact they dont support this activity and will not allow it again i will have to enjoy from the sidelines from here out! its been a good ride and iwant to wish everyone good luck at nationals, its unfortnate that they wont support or alliow me to continue but like i said my carreer is to important to me and this injury is a huge carreer setback. I definately will keep in touch with everyone my heart will always be with this great sport and community of great people!!

I want to make sure i posted on here as soon as i could. first thank u to all for the well wishes this is a very hard time for me and i know its a lng road to recovery but i know ill make a full recovery in time. i was in maryland to assist a military unit with no family or friends within 3000 miles when this happened. ken gave me aride to practice that night 3 may without knowing anything about me drove 30 min out of his way to pick me up and bring me to the great dave pattons (who i never even got to pull ) when i broke my arm at practice that night my first thought was how the heck did this happen to me? my second was how am i gwtting home with all my training gear and bags. after last week i have never met a nicer, caring, more amazing person than ken smith. not only did hr stay at the hospital during my time there he made critcal phone calls to inform family and my commander, he assist with my documents the military needed and when i was released took time from his work and personal life to open up his house and home. So for those of u who know ken im sure u know how great of a person he is and those who dont i hope u get the honor to meet this great guy! so to u again thank u for all u have done!

I am in the works right now with a few promoters in Southern Oregon who contacted me last week about putting on a tournament at Shenanigans Irish bar and grill. This is a great outdoor/indoor venue that holds large concerts and events frequently. The owner is a fan of amrwrestling and really wants a big event at his venue, his sponsors are willing to put up 5k in cash prizes and sponsorship money. I am dedicated to putting up entry fees into the prize money as well. I just spoke with the local channel 5 news sports anchor about broadcasting this on the local sports channel live as well and he sounds very interested. More info to follow: I will need to have to have referrees (mr. collins please call me!) i will be MC'ing this event, right now im ironing out all the info and hope to get more info soon. I want to do a pro format 0-165, 166-198, 199-242, and 243 + with a cap of 8 pullers (top level pullers) with a payout around 500,400,300,150 for the 4 classes. Round robin style event! This way its not drug on over the 2 hour tv limit i am working with. The non tv event will include a novice/open event after the main event. This means the event will need at least 2 tables and 4 refs to make this go smooth and keep within our television time limit. This could be huge for AW and im very excited about this... More info to come!

I wanted this match and I got my wish! Chad is a beast his hand is so thick and hard to adjust to. Didn't feel confortable at all! Chad is definately a beast and the best in the country hands down at 80kg. I want to thank florida, jesse gonzalez, and last chad silvers for giving me the opportunity to pull you, back to the drawing board!
