Mike Phaup has been out of it for a while now.
The MD Team has practices regularly in the Baltimore area (about 30-35 min from DC in no traffic) contact Dave Marrucco or Ken Smith or Big Mike Homewood they would know more about the whens and wheres.

Looking at it more as a game or sport rather than proving who is stronger.
To explain that further,
Being receptive to learning many different moves and styles of arm wrestling from the start. Treating equal the toproll, hook, press or any move. Instead of thinking of arm wrestling as a strength competition and trying to always get into the spot that you feel most dominant and powerful in, learning how to read an opponents weaknesses and throw different moves at different opponents even if it is not your strongest ones.
IMO, those type of pullers develop more quickly. I am one of the guys that developed bad habits then tried to break and/or compensate for those bad habits. It works against amateurs and low to mid level pros, but you can't beat elite pullers doing that.

yes this is the best thing to do...do not call the casinos on the boardwalk directly, prices will seem very very high.
If you go to those sites above, you can find rooms within 15 minutes away for $60-80 a night.

Derek,
Thanks so much for such a great event. The venue was amazing, high quality refs, good payouts, good competition, and high quality supermatches.

no you need to make weight shawn. if you are close, go the day before and weigh in. If you are trying to make 198 and say you weigh 200-201 with clothes on then you are okay probably but they don't subtract 5 lbs like s standard allowance if you know what i mean.

All I ask is that you don't wait to do the left men's open at 8pm at the end like last year. If you have two tables run one table as pro the other as novice and keep us all engaged. Just a suggestion but waiting around for 4 hours after the supermatches last year to pull was hard, that was my only concern last year, otherwise it was an awesome event and I'm glad I'm coming back this year!

Chris won 3-0 but the matches were long and hard fought. Videos are up on FB. One of the best learning experiences I've had in a while.
