This tournament is open to individual armwrestlers too! There is $100 for 1st place in all classes. This tournament should be a pretty entertaining event!

I wanted to remind everyone to bring a photo ID with them to the tournament. If you train with people across state lines, e-mail me ahead of time so that I can be aware. Somerset is a pretty central location, it's only:
4.5 hours from Columbus, OH 4.25 from Indianapolis, IN 5.5 from Atlanta, GA 6.25 from St. Louis, MO 6.25 from Charlotte, NC 7.25 from Detroit, MI
and less than 3 hours from Cincinnati, Knoxville, Louisville, and Nashville.

Hey Mark, Why don't you and Brad come pull at our tournament in Kentucky on March 14th? The winner will most likely take the $100 for the weight class.

You don't have to be from the same state. If you know ahead of time that your team consists of guys from different states, please send me a personal message with the list of your team. The idea behind the tournament is to have a group of armwrestlers who train together, get a rare opportunity to compete as a team.

I wanted to point out that the date has been moved up a week to March 14th. We're looking forward to seeing which state has the best armwrestlers. If you have anymore questions, feel free to call or write. 606-271-3594.

Mike, "Each arm wrestler may only compete in one weight class." They can go both right and left in that weight class. So you only need 5 armwrestlers, but the tournament is open to individuals too. A team can enter as many armwrestlers as they want, but we will only count the highest score.

The tournament will be held in Somerset, KY. Which is about 80 miles south of Lexington. What we've decided for the format goes like this: There are 5 men's weight classes X2 for both arms and a women's class for a total of 11 classes. Since most teams will probably be missing one of the weight classes, we will only count the top 10 finishes for each team.
I think we won't limit the number of armwrestlers per weight class, but will only count the points from the best finisher.
Christian, the best way I can figure to legitimize the teams for guys who train across state borders is to have you guys send me a message or post the team that you plan on bringing. It wouldn't work for you to pull on two teams, because say you finished first right and left well that would be a total of 6 points. What would you do, give 3 to one team and 3 to the other?
Hope to see you here!

Probable Teams: Erie PA, Louisiana, Kentucky Possible Teams: Nevada, Team Top Roll
Copy and paste adding your team to the appropriate list.
I think we will limit the entries to one per arm in a weight class.

That's a good point, I had actually thought of that because I'm sure that affects quite a few teams/training partners. In those cases, they would definitely be permitted. We would just have to use the honor system and it would help if they just let me know ahead of time. The reason I say this is because there was once a much smaller team competition in a tournament in Rising Sun, IN and we added John Brzenk on our team once we got there. So you can see where something like that would undermind the entire concept.

Do you think we should make everyone show their driver's license to prove they are from the same state? Also I wanted to point out that each armwrestler can potentially win $480. (win both arms and their team wins-split among the 5 members)
