I think the format would be something like this: There will also be a right hand open women's division. Their points would count just like the men. Each team would total the top 10 finishes in different classes. Each team can enter an unlimited number of armwrestlers including multiples within the same weight class and arm. There will be a total of 11 classes when you count right and left and women. So a team could score a maximum of 30 points if they had all first place finishes. All classes will still be open to individual armwrestlers. In fact each class would also have a $100 prize for first place in addition to the team prize of $2,000. So theoretically a team could clean up $3,000 and take home a 4 ft. trophy and the distinction of Team National Champions!

Going with that concept, we could allow an unlimited number of team members and only count the points of the top 10 finishers in different classes. Meaning a team can put more than one armwrestler in a weight class for the same arm, but only one of those armwrestlers scores would count. So with 3 points for a first place finish the highest a team could total would be 30 points. This way a team would not necessarily be punished for not having a female. Or we could do the top 8 finishers so that a team that didn't have someone representing all weight classes could still have a chance to win.

Ryan Barnett and I have hosted a tournament for 5 years and want to do something different this year. We've considered a National Team Competition with some serious money. $2-3k and 4 ft. trophy for the winning team. It is still in the concept stage, but we want feedback to make sure we don't have only 2-3 teams show up. Each team would need representatives in the 154, 176, 198, 242, and 243+ classes, right and left. First place finishes are worth 3 points, second 2 points, and 1 point for each third place. The team with the most points would probably take 75% of the prize money and second would take 20%, leaving 5% for the third place team. The team could have a maximum of 5 armwrestlers and no competitor can compete in more than one weight class. Let me know if you would be seriously interested. We've also considered the idea of a super match. Who would be interested in coming to win $1,000?
