Here we go again Just to clarify: The World Armwrestling Federation Unified World's are in Tokyo the first week in December 2005. The ONLY way to qualify is at the Unified Nationals in Little Rock August 12-14th. Apparently AAA/WAF has decided to hold an alternate tourney with the AAA Nationals as a qualifier.

So there are 2 different world championships? in the same city?
I thought from what i heard was that they were going to be united this year. Having the first place competitors from nationals of each american orginization. Instead of 1st and 2nd. When did this change or was it ever true?
If that is a lie it doesnt suprise me.

On the AAA site, it says their Worlds are Oct 27th-Nov 1st. Hosted by the AJAF ( All Japan Armwerstling Federation ). 2 Worlds.... Go to AAA Nats, qualifies you for Japan in Oct.......Go to Unifieds, qualifies you for Japan in Dec. OH Well

Hi Ryan, Karen signed a World Unification agreement in Canada 2003. It never was agreed that someone could qualify for the Unified World's at the AAA Nationals, only the Unifieds. Christian has explained it...

So basically what you all are saying is that the AAA is going to have to dissolve, because now there is only 1 unified WAF and the AAA will not be able to qualify their competitors?

Hi Olin, AAA has decided to hold a qualifying tournament for a tournament hosted by the All Japan Armwrestling. The qualifier for the World Armwrestling Association Championship is hosted each year by one of the member associaition of United States ArmSports through a bid process. If AAA was a member of USA they would have the opportunity to bid on the Unified Nationals, the qualifier for the WAF World's. " AAA wrestlers" have always qualified, and been able to qualify, for the WAF World's at the Unified Nationals. It is AAA's preference to not be a member of USA

Forgive me maybe im really slow. But i dont understand something about this.
If she signed a unification agreement what exactly does that mean? Why are there two worlds? Does that mean there shouldnt be two nationals?
Again i apologize for being dumb on this it just doesnt make sense to me.

So if it's unified then there are no longer 2 WAF's? Does that mean that AAA has to either join USAA or get left behind???

Hi Olin, No the correct term is USA - United States ArmSports not USAA - United States Armwrestling. The USAA is a member of USA along with 35+ other member associations. Remember, ALL athletes, including "AAA Wrestlers", can qualify at the Unified Nationals for the World Armwrestling Championship in Tokyo with no membership fees. I do not understand what you mean by AAA "getting left behind" unless you mean Frank and Karen Bean as individuals. As far as 2 WAF Championships, that is entirely up to the AAA/WAF.
