i guess it is easier we armwrestlers (who do not usually have big legs) to reach that body weight-bicep size thing.body builders need to put weight every single part of their body. damn Guess im one of the odd balls, i have tree trunks for legs, all those years of playing hockey and football....

on the arm thing tho, the bigger your triceps are the bigger your arm will be, as the tricep is predominatley larger than the bicep, so work your triceps if you really want big arms....true story.... correct.

. damn Guess im one of the odd balls, i have tree trunks for legs, all those years of playing hockey and football.... most of the superheavyweight armwrestlers do not look like the skinny leg big upper body type of typical armwrestlers.i guess they have no reason to get their legs skinnier since they pull in unlimited weight class.

Mr Vigeant, anything is possible. Look at Vasgen's right forearm. One of my coworkers at 24hr fitness has 18 inch arms and is 160 at 5'8. He curls 100 lb dumbells. if you train to build specific parts while manipulating your bodyfat anything is possible. You look like you work out religiously and seem to be well informed on body mechanics in the realm of weight training so you would know that its possible. But unfortunately nobody believes what they dont see personally.

Big Papi Ty, I see what thread u were talking about now .. this one. appreciate it.
I believe I was at around 20.5 (probably not 21 inches) here in this video. I probably weighed around 220 or 225lbs ?
arms have been a hair over 22 but my body weight was around 250-265
I have been 200 at 20 inches before but let me tell you it does seem super hard to get past the 1 lb per 10 lbs deal .... I never thought about it before ...
quite a hard nut to crack.

yes ty,also for his weight class Ferit has small legs.it is a great advantage for armwrestlers to not to have so big legs.

yes ty,also for his weight class Ferit has small legs.it is a great advantage for armwrestlers to not to have so big legs. very true, but it does go against conventional body building wisdom...... your upper body is your house, your lower body is the foundation to the house......the bigger your foundation the bigger the house you can build..........you will never have a strong upper body without developing a strong lower body......from an weight lifting perspective,

armwrestlers usually curls and rows better than the general body builders in the gym.Rustam for example has skinny legs but i dont think there is any body builder at his weight can do better numbers with pulling muscles.i dont know if Dave Patton has trained his legs or not but they dont seem any big.but i have read some amazing numbers about his weight lifting numbers.i guess i can count tens of examples like that and i believe that pound for pound (esspecially in lighter weight classes) armwrestlers can lift heavier than the body builders in the trainings that we use.we armwrestlers are great about rowing, scott & hammer curls, wrist & finger curls numbers.
maybe i am wrong but i guess we have very strong upper body strength (pulling muscles)witout training our legs.

yes ty,also for his weight class Ferit has small legs.it is a great advantage for armwrestlers to not to have so big legs. At least for anything but supers. If I had "normal" legs I'd be able to make 87's easy, but here I am fighting like crazy to make 209 by this weekend. I've tried everything to shrink my legs, but they just stay huge.

Keep them huge...like the previous post said: The bigger the foundation, the bigger you can build. The more strength you have anywhere, the better!!! JMO That strength helps you when stuff starts to wear out a little when you age. At least that's what I am feeling at 47. My leg strength helps me overcome aging joints. Core strength helps me with my back on a heavy lifting job. Giving up core strength or leg strength to get to a lower weight division doesn't make sense to me. I won't make 209 next week end, but I'll get clobbered whether I pull 209 or 231. 2 and out and having the time of my life!!! ;D

JMO Chris, make them even bigger and you will be incredibly strong in the superheavyweight class are we talking about armwrestling or another sport here? have you guys seen Roman's,Rustam's,Zoloev Hadzimurat's and Taras' legs? they sure did not need huge legs to be the best armwrestlers in the World, but they have skinny legs.any armwrestler who competes at the world level knows that bigger legs will put them in a higher weight category.would i wanna put 11 pounds of muscle on my arms, shoulders and back or on my legs to be more succesful (if i wanted to pull one class heavier)? i am sure that all the World champion athletes of WAF will choose to gain weight on upper body if necessary.
