I was playing poker the other night in Atlantic City (warming up for the Hold'em tournament in Vegas) and armwrestling was brought up. ALOT of the people at the table had recently seen the segment that has been airing on ESPN. Most of the guys were really interrested and asked me tons of questions. A few even brought up some names...Christian Binnie, Pete Wabuta, and Travis Bagent.
Things are looking good!

I was talking to a friend at work today and he said he was watching the reports on the Masters Golf tournament. The golfers were in the sports bar and the reporter said they were watching armwrestling on ESPN, during their down time! He said he about fell off his chair and said he couldn't wait to tell me. I had a vision of them betting about how far Christian could drive a golf ball!

Steve: Tell your friends not very far....LOL...Kind of have a little depth preception problem that hinders me from gauging the distance from holding the club next to the ball, and the height of the ball, and club...BUT went to the range once, Burnt the hell out of the rubber that the tee was on...LOL...I hit one shot, that me and my friends thought went a mile, after a little bit it landed 1 foot in front of me....LOL..Same problem with pool....Yet I was an expert shot with a pistol and shotgun for my Dept...Scary huh?....LOL....

Thats funny this topic was raised. My Boss saw the espn airing over the weekend and had alot of comments about Travis, Christian, and Ron Bath. Christian and Ron were given alot of compliments. Thats awsome. People who never even knew this sport existed are now talking about it at dinner or lunch or out with friends.. this is great! J

Ironically, a friend called me tonight and told me that he and a few guys were watching the ESPN segment yesterday. He really enjoyed it and said how much he learned just from watching never realizing how envolved this sport was. He also mentioned how impressive Ron Bath was...

Isn't it interesting the exposure that armwrestling is receiving just with the re-running of that show? ;D I think it's great! Last weekend on my way home from Georgia... as I was given the very last seat on the very last plane headed to Salt Lake city... I had the priviledge of sitting next to Rulon Gardner (super heavyweight wrestler Gold medalist in 2000)- and bronze medalist in '04... he said that he had just watched the show on espn and thought it was pretty cool... he said he'll be in Vegas this weekend for the fight. I told him he needed to come on down to the Plaza and hook up with a few guys... like Travis (since he remembered Travis)... he said he would except that he's torn his rotator cuff or something in his shoulder like that. What a great guy, though.... very down to earth and personable. Anyway, that's my story about someone watching the espn show "by chance"... Here's to hoping for more shows in the near future about armwrestling! See you all this weekend!

Pulling is definately getting exposure. I work in a warehouse with approx. 250 guys. A day dosen't go by that someone comes up and ask's "Did you see ESPN yesterday" , and ask about the guys on the show. Ron Bath gets the most inquiries , the guys think he something else. Travis and Christian get alot as well. Keep it up , Good Luck to all in Vegas.

Ron Bath is a slightly better than average puller.
Let there be no mistake.. that he looks like a beast 'cause Bessie and Sevan LOVE the guy and portrayed him as such! They have so much talent & knowledge when it comes to armwrestling, they could even make Matt Girdner look good!!!
Furthermore, these are the best shows in armwrestling television history for 2 reasons
1. because Sevan and Bessie made these shows, because finally someone who gives a s--t was involved in the production. A show without them as PRODUCERS is a second class show! Don't think for a second that these shows would be re-airing a million times if it wasn't for them.
2. an obviously 'cause of ****T BAGENT***********
These shows were almost perfect except they they left out my matches with Ron Bath.

I'm constantly bombarded with "I've seen you on ESPN". The next lines usually have to do with Travis and his mouth and EVERYONE hating him.....LOL... So I have to go through the whole explanation that YES, he is a good guy, we are friends, we talk s##t to one another, we room and travel alot together BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. And that I will see him in Little Rock... ;D
AND most mention Ron Bath too. ;D
Travis said: "Ron Bath is a slightly better then average puller"......THAT HAS TO BE THE MOST REDICULOUS THING TRAVIS HAS EVER SAID!!! AND TRUST ME, I"VE HEARD ALOT OUT OF THAT MOUTH!.....LOL

Yeah and another thing they forgot was the Ladies of this great sport. Where was Elaine and Nicole on this video or any ladies for that matter? Our Canadian viewers questioned this aspect of the show. See you all in Vegas.

Man ! I know that I ain't the prettiest armwrestler but damn Travis you hurt my feelings ! ;D I too am getting bombarded with the whole ESPN/ARMWRESTLING thing , and 9 out of 10 times I get asked , " who is the big guy thats always yelling and running his mouth.....he's an a-hole ! " Like Christian said I have to go into this speech of that is how Travis acts on stage , he is nothing like that away from the cameras and tables . Even though I want to rip Travis' arm out of his shoulder when at the table , I still like the guy and he is a true asset to this ever growing sport ! Don't ever change Travis ! OH ! One more thing , Travis at the end of your post , WAY OFF BROTHER ! WAY OFF ! At least with the armwrestling portion , my gambeling skills aren't all that great , but like I said before , I plan on sleeping at a Holiday Inn Express the night prior too the poker game.
