Just saw a poll on fox news. Ron Paul 37% Obama 41%. Gallop poll I believe. Not bad considering he doesn't have a lot of name recognition, yet.

I saw that poll, too. That is quite amazing considering that Ron Paul probably has as much negative name recognition as he does positive. I have to admit doing a 180 on Ron Paul. I really missed the mark last time around and thought Ron Paul was a nut- and I thought so because most of his vocal supporters came off as anarchist lunatics. I thought he was looney due to guilt by association. I am sorry for that. I was wrong about the guy and I should have listened to what he had to say four years ago.
I'm not the only one, apparently. Here's a quote that came after the debates:
"... Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), one of the most conservative voices in the Senate, told him: “I used to think you were crazy, Ron, but I’m starting to feel a little crazy myself.”
Is he electable? Anyone is electable if you vote for them.

Anyone is electable if you vote for them. I've always supported his views (90%) and thought he would drastically turn this country around to where it should be. However, there is the key word, "drastically". By doing so there would have been an uprising of the, "undeserving habitual dependents". He would fix the foreign spending and secure our borders. Sure, his voice isn't what is convincing, but are we voting on voices? Speaking of his policies, I believe this would have been/will be eliminated - for many reasons:

I like him more and more everyday. It's a shame he probably wont get the nomination. I believe he could beat Obama if he had the nomination, and people got to hear what he had to say. People are fed up, and want REAL change. Back to basics and common f$&@in sense!

The Iowa Straw Poll will be a good indication of how close he is in the race. I believe he's closer than most think. Especially since the media refuses to acknowledge his legitimacy.

The debate is thursday night, we'll see.
Kinda liking Mitt, but I'm very conflicted. Been having migranes....Maybe it's from my titanium spine. Maybe I'll just have a godfather's pizza.

THIS is why you all need to tell EVERYONE you know about Ron Paul because the media is obviously trying to get Romney elected: If the establishment is obviously trying to sway the public away from Ron Paul, shouldn't that be enough for EVERYONE to vote for him? Again, if you're an Independent Voter, PLEASE switch to Republican just so that you can get Paul as the GOP Candidate. It's really easy, and takes only a few minutes. There's a group on Facebook called Ron Paul's Republican Registration Bomb that has all the state's links to change your party affiliation.

You know politics is a boys club when the media has been following Romney and Pawlenty for the last year and NOBODY on the street is behind them. RINOs if there ever was one. A couple of McCains at best. They are the John Kerrys of the RNC.
Against all odds Ron Paul is getting traction and the media is pretending he isn't. Since the media is still carrying Obamas water, that means they think Ron Paul is a threat to Obama.

For the record, I love Tea!
But, just to clarify regarding Romney and to link it to my earlier post about Dr. Paul, it's going to take a star (or someone who looks and sounds like a star) to beat Obama.
So far, Romney looks like the only person that can stand on a debate stage, toe to toe with Obama, and look and sound more presidential, more intelligent, and yes nicer than Obama.
And that.... is how you get the young people, soccer moms, and how elections are won recently.
There is a reason why Goldwater didn't win, Dr. Paul, hasn't won, but Clinton did win two terms: star power.
I thought Clinton was a disgrace, but most people don't even care how conservative a republican is, or how liberal a democrat is, they barely follow politics. They just vote for the guy that connects with them. That's why JFK, Reagan, and Clinton were so electable and so popular. (Don't know what JFK really ever did, but speak well and sound presidential).
You gotta start somewhere.

All good points, Casey. I wish I could disagree but I can't.

Wasn't trying to disagree with you, or Chris, just giving my unsolicited take. Funny thing, Dennis Miller is on O'Reilly right now talking up Dr. Paul.
