Well, since Jesus plainly stated that nobody knows when the final day will be.... Not the Son nor the angels, but only the Father....
I would recommend that people actually read the bible instead of carrying it around to thump on or shake at fellow sinners. In my opinion anyone who believed this moron is worse than stupid, they are blasphemers.
To the fools who believed this jackass, God told you that nobody knows the date or time Christ will return, yet you believe Joe Schmoe. You have elevated the words of Joe Schmoe to be more truthful than the words of God! Because you have believed this man more than you have believed God, you have made this man your God!
All they lost is money, but they can still find God. I hope they realize this.

Amen brother.
Anytime you put a mans words, a church structure, a church doctrine, a church tradition above the living word of God you have indeed made that thing your God and no longer serve the Christ of the bible.
You then serve "another Jesus" as Paul put it

Rapture is not coming in your life time. So don't count on it. Live with this. Ok?

There's no reason it isn't
We should live our lives ready for it any moment

Nothing wrong with living life like it's coming. Why is it that every generation believe they are so important that they may live the rapture?

It's not that every generation believes they are important. It is that every generation believes mankind has devolved to the point that it's time to end this misery on earth. I think it is a foreboding feeling that the state of mankind could get any worse than it is, and hope that the suffering of many will be relieved.

Religion in wrong hands can be a disaster.
This Rapture thing is a small example of how people can be brainwashed and believe in BS.

True enough. But religion is only one avenue to be brainwashed. People are still sending money to Al Gore.
