Our current president doesn't share the same IDEOLOGY as our founding fathers in terms of what freedom means, capitalism, free market, for the people by the people, etc. Thats obvious.
To anyone who would argue that, well, I wish HOPE AND CHANGE on you and your views.
Its a FACT the president was surrounded from a young age and surrounded himself later in life, with liberal, socialist, communist, marxist leaders, teachers, and friends - it is what it is. Read his books - his biographies - learn about his mother, his father, his grandparents, and self-proclaimed mentores - and you will see how his views have been shaped.
If you AGREE with his views then you need to begin to realize you are not exactly fond of what a republic is - or how the United States became the superpower it WAS. Yes we hold some rank still, but we are in a MESS - a mess created by both parties, and by the POWERS THAT BE over the last 100 years.
If you vote Democrat because you want the poor to have some CHANGE, or the sick to have healthcare, because you think all people deserve a shot at nice housing, higher education, if here illegally, GIVEN citizenship - if you think that rich people have got it good enough so its OK to tax them more - if you're a champion for the little guy and for the middle class and for seniors and for welfare medicare medicaid - If thats where you stand, then I understand your views.
But soon enough you will realize what you support is the post introduction to socialism. We have already socialized SO MUCH of our nations wealth - of the RICH's wealth. We are one of the most overtaxed SUPERPOWERS today - we are taxed on EVERYTHING - loopholes or not, RICH people still pay more taxes and do more to SUPPORT the underprivileged in this country YEARLY than most of you will ever do in your lifetime, yet you say MORE MORE MORE!
And the Democrats champion these causes - why? Because they are like you? Because they are the TRUE warriors of the little guy?
Like mostly all politicians - they just want your vote, and they just want your money. Well maybe not yours, but definitely someone else's. During the worst part of the GREAAAAT REEECESSSION, people on both sides were building wealth at staggering rates.
The more you decrease the rewards of success, and reward simply the privilege of being alive in this country - the more and more you will influence those who have strived, and sweat, and bled for their success - to achieve less, to earn less, to succeed with less vigor.
And since you expect the rich, who support the vast majority of entitlement programs - to pay more, and more, and more - you will eventually see LESS and LESS and LESS coming into the system.
And when the rich have become just well off, and the well off have become the upper middle class, and the upper middle class has become the lower, and the lower can no longer sustain their livlihoods anymore and enter poverty, alongside everyone else who has bled the well dry (those and the politicians who skim off the top OVER AND OVER again until their pockets and bank accounts are full of the RICH'es money, the money that was supposed to go HELP THE LITTLE GUY - then you are a full on socialist state.
We're close enough to that as it is, but people and their GOOD INTENTIONS have bought into the pipe dream of socialism once again, here in America.
I'll tell you what isn't a pipe dream - earning an honest living, taking care of your family, instilling in them morals, and basic truths, teaching them the value of a hard days labor, and the value of a dollar, and then sending them on their way to do the same. Thats not a pipe dream, that was America. That is a proven model of success. There will always be the exceptions, the underprivileged, the sick and the homeless. That is a fact of life, and the TRUTH is you CANT help everyone by TAKING from those who GOT IT BETTER. If you want to help someone, take them into your house - give a good percentage of your paycheck to charity, one that you admire, support. Stand on a platform and promote GIVING of yourself, your time, your money. Because I will tell you this, that will do more, and spread faster than the message of class warfare you currently support.
And I promise you, the vast majority of all those people you put into office could care less about the poor - or charity, and give less, on average, than the people you vote against.
Its easy to vote for a tax increase on someone else's money - but not so much to FREELY GIVE of your income to help someone in need, well at least for so many who champion the ANTI rich cause.
My company is strong. They do more for the community than any company I've ever been with - in the millions upon millions to those who need it. Volunteer hours are through the roof, with no rewards or incentives, just the reward of helping someone. My company pays for excellent healthcare for me and my wife, whos diabetic, to get everything she needs. They pay us well, treat us well, and give us great job security, as long as we don't screw it all up ourselves. No unions here, we are responsible and held accountable for every little thing we do - and thats the way it should be. As we are well paid we put millions upon millions in the form of taxes back into the system, and it goes where it goes to do whatever it is that it does.
If the president and liberal congress had been successful last year in their bogus environmental attempts at regulating non proven garbage - we would have lost 10 locations and 5,000 jobs right off the top, and that was a conservative estimate. Liberal democrats hate companies like mine, because they represent a model of capitalism, pure capitalism, and the rewards that EARNING success in life can bring - from the guy at the top, all the way to the entry level tech.
The president would rather TAX US MORE as a company, TAX ME MORE for the benefits I receive, REGULATE US MORE, using unproven science to back up a bogus environmental agenda - all the while he prances about the country - GIVING $500 MILLION to a company like Solyndra(sp?) - to work on ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES - only for the company to fold shortly there after, and the money, my money, your money, GONE! In his own words, "The type of GAMBLE we must take."
I haven't seen the movie, but I will. Unlike most who sat and wept, cheered, and applauded while Captain America was giving his speeches to 100,000 person stadiums - I already knew who he was and what he was about, I also knew he would get elected - because people are swayed by stuff like that -meaningless rhetoric, snake oil salesmen.
I am not a Republican, definitely not a Democrat. I have a huge distastes for anyone who CLAIMS TO BE EITHER. If you align yourself fully with either of them, you are officially corrupted. The majority of both at the top, are corrupt. Money and power, on the average, CORRUPTS,
I'm an American, who knows what the majority of Americans used to stand for, what servicemen died for. My goal is to earn my living, take care of those I love, prepare and plan for the future the best I can. I also want to give, and do give, to those less fortunate. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE at my company gives percentages of their paycheck directly to charity, and I know many who do above and beyond that all the time. I want the government to provide for the things I need from a government standpoint - protection from foreign forces - and other than that, I want them out of my life, out of my faith, and our of my pocketbooks.
We pay what we pay because we are told. Income tax is unconstitutional, there is no law requiring us to do so. Thats a FACT. But if we don't, what will happen? Oh yes they will come knocking - so we continue on amidst the criminal nature of our tax code, what else can we do?
I know what many do - they demand we pay more, that the elite rich give ALOT more, when in reality, we pay too much as it is, period. Overtax production, penalize success, and see what happens. Oh yah! Its already happening.
Keep looking for your Utopia - and you'll see how fast that dream can turn into a nightmare, if you need references, pick up a history book.
I'm not Pro Romney, I'm not anti-Obama, but I know for a fact I'm anti his agenda for the next 4 years. Politics is now the lesser of two evils (UNTIL A HERO OF RATIONALITY CHARISMA AND PATRIOTISM EMERGES THAT CAN GET ENOUGH PEOPLE TO SUPPORT HIM) then once again, its just the lesser of two evils. But I align more with one than the other - the one that helps me achieve my and my family's goals and secure our future.
We are NOT all in this together. We do NOT all operate with the same mentality, work ethics, and values, and I WILL NOT give into the garbage idea that we all DESERVE to be HAPPY AND SECURE AN GEE GOLLY JUST PLAIN DOING GREAT!
Life, liberty, and THE PURSUIT of happiness. SUCCESS is something you have to chase. SECURITY is something you have to EARN. STABILITY is something you have to DISCIPLINE YOURSELF EVERYDAY to obtain - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
Their is a clear choice this election on whose path is MORE destructive - clear for those who look beyond themselves and into history as to what leads where.
We can only hope a candidate arises in the NEAR future to get us out of this mess - I havent seen him yet, but I'm not so cynical as to cast a meaningless vote, or not vote at all. Finding out the truth is important - if you vote, vote because you are well versed on what facts are out there. If you don't know whats going on, stay home, you've already done enough damage.
