Engin, you're right...I've been competing for 16 years and have pulled the best light weights in that time (except for you) and I've never been beat like that before. I'm not sure what happened. The two matches with Gashevski and I were very close but in the restart he caught me off guard when he changed up on me. The first match I had complete control and felt like I had that match won until I received an elbow foul, then expecting him to lose his hand on the restart, I wasn't expecting him to change the angle of his first move. No doubt, Babaev is unbelievable. If you've never pulled him, you can't begin to understand what he's like. I even thought that I missed go because of the referee's cadence, but after I saw him pin everyone that same way all evening, I realized that wasn't it...he's pure power. There is no one under 180 kilo's that can beat him at this time...unless you can. Maybe you and I will get the opportunity to pull one day...Travis had mentioned a best 3 out of 5 between us. Maybe that will work out in 2005, until then, best of luck in your future tournaments. Chad

hello Chad,im only 70kg (154)right now.if you can make 165 then lets pull for best of 5 at the beginning of January.we both welcome for bets and the pot will be high.deal? about Gashevski,he s twice stronger in the strap.he tried to go to strap with you but he didnt know that your fingers were damn strong to that.this s why he put himself in that position.i remember that Cobra has made same mistake by trying to beat you without having his wrist control.i guess it was 97 nationals.and you beat him at that match.so its same with Gashevski,2. time he directly went into the match without trying to go to strap.believe me there are many of the best light weights at this side of europe.just a few months ago 18 years old Russian gave Babaev a near 30 seconds match.Thscakilov from Russia has beat Babaev once in last year.
if my offere is acceptable for you then lets make it happen.i had some broken fingers that are just getting ok again.so i need at least a month to pull you.and at the and of january i need to pull Babaev's brother.so lets pull for ex. at january 8.?

Engin, Early January doesn't work for me because I'm getting ready for other tournaments around that same time and need to weigh heavier than 165. I sent you an email with some other dates that might work better for me. See what you think. Give me a call...I gave you my home phone number in addition to the cell phone number. Can't wait to hear from you.

What's up guys... have you guys forgotten there is someone out there in Babayev's class (or lighter) that may give him trouble and he's not even working out... "Vepkhalia Samkhardze" from Georgia, this guy was capable of climbing a rope with his hands behind his head... now that would be a nice match!

I thought Vepkia was back in Georgia ? If so why wouldnt he be training? I personally dont see that as a match at all. Maybe a slight delay from go to the pad

Yes he returned to Georgia, we will miss him, some of you know that I, M. Selearis & C. Myers are good friends with his buddy Georgie Gelashvili (another Georgian competitor to look out for, to give u n idea of his overall natural strength, this 23 yr old can lift up the rear of a car & shift it around like a toy) he believes that Vepkhalia will now have more time to get back into training... I'm sure a few of you have seen the girth Vepkhia's wrist, it's huge the size of someone twice his weight!

Vephkia Samkaradze is two class below Babaev.my friend Haydar beat Vephkia everytime they pulled with an easy match.my friend Haydar took 4. in last years worlds and this years european.there s absolutely no way Vephkia to touch Babaev.

I'm on the phone with Georgi Gelashvili & he said... "Vepkhia is being underestimated based on how he has pulled these guys lately... but think about this... he has not even worked out in years, and he just shows up to competitons & wins (like GNC 2001), now imagine if he was working out, (& doing some juice), he will be hard to beat"!
Cobra, what do you have to say about this man?
