According to every single email and telephone call I have received the ESPN2 show was the greatest representation of the sport ever seen. This same show will be seen in January, February and March. Sometimes on ESPN2 and sometimes on ESPN. I will have a schedule posted so we can call all our friends, relatives, neighbors etc., so we can spread the word on how great our sport is and how it entertains and excites the spectators. This is just a new beginning for the sport on television. In 1968 I had a 16-year contract with Wide World of Sports and our new opportunities will give us more actual television time than all those 16 years combined. We had made a giant leap and all Nations shall benefit from the exposure, which will be available to countries Worldwide. Congratulations Pullers!

Dave,
first we all want to say THANKS so much, alot of us are not aware how difficult it is to accomplish this...
second, I was wondering: is it too late to edit the show... because something is missing, John & Sevan definetly need to be shown commentating and alot of other guys & "GIRLS" in the other classes need to be shown as well, it can be misleading, people out there need to know that there are "many" weight classes "Male & Female" in this sport.

:)Hey Dave. I was trying really hard to find ESPN2 here where I live but I couldn't get it. I am hoping at some time I will be able to see this. Everyone is excited about it and I can't see it . I am sure it is great and looking forward to it later. See you soon Dave and keep up all the great work you are doing for this sport.

Harry you made a good point and one we have discussed. If fact today I talked to ESPN and said we had enough video to make one or two more shows of other categories. The fact is if I was told 6 months ago that I could get 30 minutes I would have been overjoyed. We got 90 minutes and now I'm looking for more. Greedy aren't we! The women and lower weight divisions will get their turn. Let's just be happy for now that we made the breakthrough and work on "our wants" for the near future. ESPN will allow us to make a DVD in the near future that we will make available. Finally I was told I was to have a phone meeting with ESPN next Tuesday to talk about the ratings. Keep your fingers crossed. We must also realize that in April we will have one of the World’s largest money tournaments in Vegas. $30,000 in cash! Fox Sports Network doing an hour special and bringing in sets from Hollywood. This is the full Sports Network and not a regional thing. Never had we had such coverage in just a very short period of time. And to repeat and earlier post, our ESPN show will be seen several times in Jan., Feb., and March on both ESPN2 and ESPN and then we have other shows in the can along with the Fox April show. We went to sleep and woke up in Hog Heaven.

inch by inch is a synch... yard by yard is to hard...
I'm just thrilled to see the pullers on national T.V. getting the exposure we deserve. I hope in the future all classes will be viewed.
But I do agree with Harry that one strikes while the iron is hot!

Dave,
Thank you, Thank you, thank you! All of your hard work is much appreciated!
You are one of the greatest driving forces behind these great things happening in our sport.
I was in the semi- and finals LH 187 and it was filmed but it doesnt hurt my feelings one bit that its not part of the clips. I'm just happy that Armwrestling was on TV with real armwrestlers. Hard work and dedication will pay off for me and whom ever is willing to put forth the effort when the time comes.
Thank you, Thank you 1000 times.
Rick

...Speak to them on tuesday, if you can squeeze it in for the next showings, make every effort to do it NOW... "Strike the iron when it's hot"! I agree that more of the lower classes would be great to see for any reason, but Harry, I am sure Dave is doing what he can to get as much as he can shown. I know he has done more than me...ten-fold compounded. He will eventually get it accomplished - I'm sure.

Allen please, we know he's done more than you , but you are clearly misenterpreting my suggestions & sending a negative message out, instead of focusing on the positive aspect of my message, you are leaning towards the negative, as if I am stating that Dave does not know what he is doing... where is that coming from... possibly that's how u feel ("we see don't see things how they are, we see thing how we are")... ypur comment will only repress others from speaking out w/ possibly good ideas for the growth of the sport. Dave understands exactly what I am suggesting & why... and I want to make it very, very clear that everything you have done is deeply respected & appreciated, not only by me, but as you can see everyone.

Harry, I do not think I misinterpreted your point. I knew what you were trying to say, it just sounded a bit authoritative to the authority of this sport; that's all.

Harry, When was the last time anyone lined up to watch the worlds smallest man? The general public loves size, and freaks. Marketing 101. I would love to see it be a broader showing, but its simple ratings that say start with the big boys. I am not a big boy, but I certainly understand this. Dave, thank you for everything, I'm sure none of us here are able to see the numbers that ESPN does to know what works and what doesnt. I say leave it to the pro's, they know programming. For anyone who is not in that industry to pipe in is foolish. peace

Hi Harry and all with suggestions and your thoughts! My personal opinion at this time, (if you are not open to change then you will miss the change) is that we are looking at two different issues. First: Showbiz! People watch TV for entertainment. People like Travis entertain people. They might not like him or may love him. I have had dozens of email on him and it's really interesting. Either way they found him and others very exciting and therefore provoking interest in the sport. Second: We can excite a broader band of individuals to get into our sport by letting them see the women and all weight divisions compete. I think it would also be very interesting to see the Masters and Seniors in action. Almost no one has any idea regarding the diversity of age, gender and weight divisions we support. Do both provoke the same amount of interest and excitement in the audience? I am not sure but the networks know or think they know. I felt that my initial direction was to give the networks what they think they want and hope our team can enhance and improve upon our product to convey the ultimate audience reaction and addiction to our whole sport. Kinda late for an old guy so until tomorrow.
