When I die and my higher power judges me... I sincerely pray that he will judge me not by the highest point I reached or the lowest point I fell, but instead by how many steps I was willing to take to climb and how many times I was willing to carry someone up a flight of stairs on my way back up

Here I stand in the battlefield Unarmed, unshielded, unprotected. And you stand with me
Here I stand in the battlefield unprepared, incapable and unwilling to fight. And you stand with me.
Here I stand in the battle field. I go when you tell me to stay, I stay when you tell me to go. And yet you stand with me.
Here I stand in the battlefield Exposed to the enemy, apart from the army. And you stand with me.
Here I stand in the battle field Wounded,Crushed, beaten and bruised And you stand with me.
As I bleed out, coldness sets in my viens and darkness clouds my eyes You stand with me.
Here I lay in the battlefield Dead, limp, lifeless, helpless hopeless You stand with me.
As you stand over my outstretched body you place in my hand your own sword.
You shield me with your own armor
You give me a transfusion of your own blood.
You breathe YOUR life into me.
In the midst of rebellion, stubbornness and failure.
You raise me up. You give me life. You give me strength. You give me peace. You show me mercy.
You stand with me
