Hey Bob, another old saying " there are no atheist in hell", because they are all believers now Todd, I could sit and tell you of several miracles that I have personally received and witnessed, but you probably wouldn't believe them, and there is a scripture about that also, but I won't bother you with it. i would probably listen and debate...but i would take you seriuos TK

Todd I still think there is a good bit of hope for you yet. Have you ever had something in your life happen that you just looked back an went wow how did I come out of that alive???
I remember when I was about 9 i fell 40 feet from a tree that I was climbing. I loved climbing trees when i was little. But I grabbed a rotten branch an it broke an I fell an landed on my back an missed some 40oz beer bottles that were sitting there an I didn't have a scratch on me. Now that I think about it how did I not get paralyzed? Cause I shoulda landed on those bottles. Although something did bite me down there one time an i can't remember what it was.

Hey Bob, another old saying " there are no atheist in hell", because they are all believers now Todd, I could sit and tell you of several miracles that I have personally received and witnessed, but you probably wouldn't believe them, and there is a scripture about that also, but I won't bother you with it. Good one Mike! Here's a related idea: Some people believe that you are saved by merely believing in Jesus and that your actions do not matter. Remember, Satan believed in Jesus. Did Satan get saved? Here's the proper way to state the points: First, you do not merit heaven by your actions. Jesus's death and resurrection is the only event in all of history that makes our salvation even possible. That being said, here's the catch. You are expected to cooperate with grace. Grace tells us a lot of stuff. Let's start with the basics, the 10 commandments. Grace teaches us that the 10 commandments are basic truths. You feel it in your heart and soul as you are growing up and learning them. For people not brought up in the faith, the virtues they were brought up with pretty much come from some of the 10 commandments. And those people also experience grace from their loving Jesus who they do not yet even know! Atheists and followers of monotheistic religions all experience grace. We have all made some good and bad choices. We have all chosen to or not to cooperate with grace, and we all know the results of those choices. Love, and peace and joy come with the good choices. Anger, anxiety, emptiness, self doubt, a sense of worthlessness, and quite often, further degradation, come with the bad choices. The atheist wants to believe that the results of our choices have nothing to do with God. Ask yourself, if God has nothing to do with it, how did we get programmed or hard wired that way? Could that possibly be a random event? A result of evolution? Evolution explains the animal planet outside the human race. The human race has a far greater dignity. Animals act instinctively. Humans deliberate before many actions, even some basic ones. I, as a father, might be craving a glass of milk. When I get to the fridge and find out there's only enough for my children's breakfast, do I save it for them or do I drink? Grace has taught my heart to LOVE. It gives me tremendous joy to save the milk for my children. The general idea of evolution coexists well with the creation story in Genesis. A lot of questions do go unanswered. However, there is a cut off between the evolution of the animal world and the beginning of man(with a soul and made in the image and likeness of God) even if early man was not exactly standing straight up. Enough for tonight. May God bless you all! Bob

There is also a book called 23 mins in hell. It's a book about a guy that god let go to hell like he was going to be there forever an cut him completely off from Gods presence to see what hell was like for 23 mins.

I don't prefer to be called an Athiest myself. i don't think i fall under that category....
i live right under my own code. i don't seek approval for my actions through a higher being.
i don't have anything against relgious folks. just the pushy ones....lol
i didn't mean to get feathers ruffled....everyone on here seems nice enough.

Well thats a good start Todd. At least your not one of the pushy people that think christians are just religious freaks that don't think about anything else but what other people are doing wrong. There was a guy like that, that took bible class with me in the 9th grade he took the class just to say how stupid christians were and how there is no God "according" to him.

Chris,
I also agree...good post, thorough work. It is very dangerous to teach anything outside of scripture, lest an error be made and skeptics are created with the potential for damage to souls.
