Devon has stated many, many, many times why he doesn't do worlds. This has NOTHING to do with drugs. He will always have his detractors though, it comes with the territory.

well the main one is money.
why compete at a tournament across the world (on your own dime) when you can have your trip, hotel, food etc paid for at a professional event? not to mention the qualifying process takes more money, traveling across you province, then to nationals. i'm willing to bet it's up to a 10 thousand dollar difference when all added up.
he has other reasons that he's stated in the past. i know this is the main one.

Engin, I believe when you quoted your example back in 2006 that he was around 230 at that time, and he cut weight to hit the 220 class but walked around typically heavier. When he competed in the supermatch, he wanted to be 'heavy' and ate accordingly. So the timeline still fits. He's usually under 240 I believe. same day he pulled a supermatch with Ron as the main event of M.Goulds,so what you say is he gained 10 pounds for Taras supermatch while he lost 10 pounds for Ron supermatch.again, why needed to talk about weight? there are ways to gain weight.just start using a good creatine with other supplements including carbo weight gainer.in a month you will be minimum 10 pounds heavier.

Thanks Mr. Milne! It was great seeing you at the local tourney a few weeks back. I hope to make it out more often. I just have a lot more family responsibilities these days.
Engin, I agree. It makes sense and is not hard to move weight around. Yes, Devon lost 10 pounds for the supermatch (I believe, someone else may be able to confirm this) so that he could also pull in 220's and open as it was a payout for the winner of each class. I remember talking with him about it for that reason, and considering going above 220 and just competing in heavies if he wanted to be more competitive in the heavies. I am not sure if Ron Bath was 220ish as well at the time too?
Like John said, yes, it's mostly about money why Devon doesn't attend the worlds.
Also, on steroids, looking at them objectively, if you consider genetics an advantage, there is a reason there are classes to compete in. So ignoring unpredictability, and risk (not everyone would have a doctor overseeing the process) and even costs, would that also not require a separate class for that particular 'advantage', based on that logic? I think it's juts too unpredictable myself.
