Chad's arms are around 20 I was told. They looked insane in Tahoe. How big are your biceps Simon? You two fellas make it hard for us youngsters to keep up

Simon, I love your confidence. Chad Silvers is definitely one of, if not the most impressive looking armwrestler. I remember the first time I saw him, at the 2004 Unifieds. I had met Steve Rau at a previous Indiana tournament and thought he was just enormous. Then, I got to see Chad Silvers handle him on the table. Wow! Johnny, I appreciate you posting that video. I think we should do more promoting of potential matchups at the Unifieds. Wish I could make the trip!

Since Chad has been pulling 176, he walks around at 183 I believe.

Wow Simon 196#! Talk about bulking up. Hope you don't lose much strength dieting down! Kyle Darby: I find it interesting that you mention you "heard" Chad's arms are 20". The other day I found a good quote by an old timer, bodybuilder I think, I should've saved it, it was something to the effects of "the internet today has made people think 20 inch arms are a common thing". These numbers are thrown around very easily. I remember at some tourney Rob Vigeant brought a tape and started measuring people's circumference (of their arms, fellas, of their arms ) and I was shocked when he told Brent Rakers had like 17"-17.5" arms. His arms looked HUGE on ArmTV. Rob himself with his crazy bicep peak I think "only" had about 18.5" when he weighed near 220# (Don't quote me on that one but must be close, maybe he said 19" I can't remember). Just sharing this because everytime someone reports "hearing" about armsize the number is somewhat inflated from what I've noticed! Same goes for just a visual estimate, you see a huge-looking arm and may think it's 20" but in reality you might be off by at least 10% and that's 2 full inches less right there, big difference. But in Chad's case it might be true, who knows, he looks huge. 20 inch arms on a 183# body? Wow..... he must look like a tank in person. Size doesn't matter anyways, does it?

Not sure if Craig is going, but I think he is capable of winning that class. Chad and Simon are both huge and strong, but I feel that Craig is at least as strong and the most technical of the the three.
No disrespect to Chad and Simon.

Well Chad said it's 20" when I asked him. His bicep isn't the most cut or peaked he just has big arms in general. His tris and bis are both big. I'll measure one day. And I asked him how much he weighed wed he said he was weighing 179 in that video. You picked a hard class to diet down too Simon, beating Matt and Chad in the same day will be pretty tough feat

I didn't want to misquote someone though cause people get all sensitive.

I hope Craig pulls as well it would be a pleasure to be on the table with him.
Chad IMO is probably the most experienced, most talented and skilled puller in the NA light classes, I am a fan no question, I think my power is right there with him but I would say he is a better armwrestler than me. So it becomes a matter of forcing my game and not letting him dictate the match. Chad has very strong but relatively normal size hands, and my biggest nemesis is large hands. Generally speaking I am exponentially better against people with virtually my same size hands.
As I come back to the 176 class I really wanted to make sure I got to pull the top guy in a proper event, rather than speculating as so often happens when two pullers have not met.
I am about 5’ 8” and my right bicep is about 17 inches right now, it will shrink a bit as I diet, but I expect to make 176 and be back up in the mid 190's by Saturday. I completely screwed up my weight bounce at nationals last year and I paid for it, but at the worlds I hit 154, and was over 176 by Thursday and 180 by Saturday.

I have pulled Matt twice before, but never Chad or Craig so I am very much looking forward to it.

This should be a great class at Nationals. I gotta say though Simon his hand does not feel normal sized to me at all though and my hand is probably a little bigger than normal. His hand is just really thick. It feels almost as thick as Fritz Corry's hand to me.
