OK.....i am sitting here watching the TODD/BRESNAN match again to make sure I am not talking out of my a$$ I dont know how to freeze a frame and post it on here, but someone.ANYONE go to match 2 and go frame by frame from 3:15 on........then i dare anyone to get on here and say A- his whole head wasnt under the table.and B- he got tim's wrist to crack and won with a straight arm......I just paused it frame by frame.you will see his arm is straight and he is laying back on the pad........PLEASE watch it then talk like that is armwrestling. HOW DO YOU WIN A MATCH WITH A COMPLETELY STRAIGHT ARM !! never mind the other matches i could comment on..that match softened up the arm and wrist......but table limbo was still in full effect.

I to was thinking the same things as rob while watching the matches. I felt bad for Tim regardless if he felt bad for himself. It was clear he was much stronger then Michael, he just couldn't get around his straight arm. If mike would have stood up like he used to, it would have been most likely 6-0 for Tim and Devon.
I was hesitant to comment on it on armtv cause mike seems like a cool guy and has lots of fans.
I'd like to see brzenk pull Michael as soon as he gets into ok shape.

That was meant as a joke Rob. I am just jealous my hand isn't as big as yours. The truth is the straight arm style has been around as longs as I have been pulling and that is since 1975. There are a lot of pullers with ruptured bicep tendons because of it. I personally would like to see pullers keep both of their shoulders above the elbow pad (currently is in the WAF rules) for that reason, but my point with the joke was that penalizing someone because they have been hurt so many times that they can't move normally would be like penalizing you because God made you a living Popeye!

.......i have heard and read all the BS and hate on how these guys pull... it seems most guys THINK they have a valid reason to hate on these guys. if thats the case, why is mike todd getting so much praise ? i didnt see the pushkar match, but i did see the cyplenkov and bresnan matches.......i gotta say..... it was REAL ugly. his shoulder was much lower than georges and clearly playing on the fact his arm wont straighten...........cmon. to each their own, but if there is gonna be all kinds of hate on some guys then keep it consistent and correct and call out everyone who is guilty of the same moves. IDK....i just watched the tim b ual match and actually felt bad for him. Tim has trained hard and looks super strong...IMO he was a much stronger better puller..........until mike straightened his arm and layed under the table.......it kinda bugged me that he gets all these props and guys who IMO are lesser offenders get sh1t on. At least george stands over the pad and jerry will hook and stand tall. I mean..Congrats mike, you made it to number 2 in the world ranking wise...........lets hope the rules dont get modified am I a hater ??......no I give props....but when i see fit, not for these wins. maybe I'm a d/ck for even opening my mouth, but i cant possibly be alone in this thought process. great post Rob. very thought provoking and respectful. some of the other members of this board should look to this post as an example of how to state their opinion. every member of this board knows that Rob V doesnt kiss anyones ass when it comes to his opinion, and he has a very direct and in your face way of debating...but i very rarely see him cross the line to name calling, character assasination and blatant disrespect. Rob...you may think your a "d!ck" sometimes...but evidently there are those who on this board that put you to shame in that area my friend. lol

Now tell me..... How do you pin him from there ? Tim had full hand and wrist control, but analyze that picture, his elbow and tricep are jammed against the table.... Can't drag him towards you.... Unless you break his arm.... Can't go sideways.... Unless you break his arm..... So how do you pin him I don't know.....3 of the strongest guys ever to get into this sport couldn't do sh;t from this sport.... And they had different speeds, skill sets, angles and all had total control...... Maybe they need to be stronger.... LOL Back to the gym Denis, Devon and Timmy.... You weak pansies.... That is a vulnerable spot for him, that should easy.... He gave up his hand after all, he is at the disadvantage here..... Lol.... Cmon. He is very beatable from other spots.... But in this spot which we are seeing more and more of.... Nope, you gotta break the arm

I thought the rule was.. your shoulder couldn't drop below your own elbow in a losing position. Monster todd is strong and has great endurance but if that rule was applied bresnan may have won every match. He probably wore out trying to fight a straightened arm while his opponent rests. Tables should have screens blocking off the space underneath.

As much as I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion, this is Bullcrap! Compete in this sport for 21 years like have & incur the injuries that I have & see if you can even use your arm much less beat the worlds best!!! My recomendation is to anyone who thinks I'm so vulnerable in so many spots, is come out & prove it!!! I love how everyone is an expert, My arm never gets all the way straightened out in a match or I would have to give up, like in the 2nd & 3rd match against Dennis. Im never resting on a lock, it's always on my bicep!! As far as the 1st match with Devon, I was always on my side of the table & no where near straightened out I just beat the reigning Superheavyweight World Champion in the most rigid rule system in our sport & this is the crap I have to read! Seriously get a life!!! Bottom line is I armwrestle for me, like it or not I'm here to stay!!!!

Seriously get a life!!! Bottom line is I armwrestle for me, like it or not I'm here to stay!!!! I have been pretty outspoken about how I felt about crazy georges "style" and admittedly yours is very similar. But the fact is as long as whatever anyone is doing does not break the rules its hard to make the argument. The other fact is as much as we can watch and analize nobody but you or george can know how much of what you do is arm and how much is levering a bone lock, we can only speculate and because of the length of some of these matches and the fact that at times you both seem to be not trying at all it is only natural for people to have those thoughts, the other thing many don't realize is there are several others who utilize this "style" gary kessler (quest for arms)held me for what seemed like eternity with his arm almost strait and at times all the way strait when I was hitting iin the end I had to give up my wrist and press to get him below the pad, you and george have had the most success with the style so you get most of the backlash but others are out there, and they to me are no different that brian johnson turning completely into a break armposition and waiting people out.......if its not against the rules...deal with it I am still a huge monster fan because I have seen you pull in every way possible and the first match with devon is proof of that, and I have known you as long as I've been around the sport and you are a as great a person off the table as you are on, so no disrespect intended at all...... most pullers arms would not hold up against the kind of power you are pulling against and you find a way to win....good for you and congrats Sent from my DROID2 using ProBoards
