Tullier? Miller? Worley?.... yeah top choices for North America. But pound for pound in the world its Zoloev. If Zoloev was to meet any of these 3 in a match...... well let's just say it would be "Goodnight Irene"

Craig Tullier is superhuman!! I remember back around 2001, or 02 Craig benchpressed around 420 at the Arnold classic. He weighed 143!!!

First define strong... I think powerful would be a better description thus far! Cant forget the element of speed in AW'ing as it plays such a big role! I know guys that are strong as hell get beat by guys w/ big hits & speed! If they slow pull the same guy they get smoked a lot of times... I agree w/ most of all the above names that have been mentioned, however power & absolute strength are 2- different things... As far as absolute strength Ive heard Richard Lupkes is an animal... hammer curling 150's for reps!! Just my .02... Cheers!

I gotta reply as when it comes to strength and pound for pound there is a limit where muscles and overall weight don't correlate. Say you have a 150 lb guy with say a 15" arm ( and in some above cases arm strength is what is the example).. Then you have a 200 lb guy , given both are similar builds and lean the 200 lb guy is 33% bigger and would need a 20" arm to be of equal fairness. Why do you see 99% of guys doing one arm pullups being 150lbs or less ? Are there no freaks heavier than 200.... Of course there are, but when comparing human beings in a sport like AW, a guy like zoloev who has the same muscle size as a heavyweight.... Really tell me how waist, thigh, neck... Boot size even correlate. So the strongest guy is the lightest. I know a 90 lb kid that does curls with 50s.... Per body weight equations the 180s should be doing sets with a 100 and the super heavies should be repping 150s( and I'm sorry, but not Richard Lukas or any other SHW is doing it, been this road MANY times..) Like wrist curls, how big can a lean forearm get ?.... Isn't the biggest forearm , or one of em in bodybuilding on lee priest who is a small stature guy ? Zoloev probably has a 15 " forearm, how does a guy 50,60,or 100 lbs bigger than him keep the ratio on par when you take into account limiting growth factors, and BW doesn't really matter much in AW IMO There are skeletal differences that help, long arms, big hands.... All most prevalent in bigger guys and weight classes, but that doesn't mean on a pure strength situation that that extra weight does anything except in pulling a truck. Think, how many guys you bench 2+ times their weight ?, how many of them are real heavy guys ? Muscles are small when separated.... So a 150 lb guy might have a muscle belly only 10-15% smaller than a guy 50-100% bigger .... Who is expected to keep the 50-100% strength ratio to be considered in the lb for lb argument when really the equation has limits

In the world? Rustam Babayev and Zoloev. In North America? Up until a year ago it was Roman Tsindaliani. Now it's Todd Hutchings.

Agreed w/ RVJ.... What yer saying is similar to the Wilks formula that is used in powerlifting to determine absolute strength instead of strength to BW ratio. Lighter guys will always have a higher strength to weight ratio so the Wilks takes this into account in the form of a coefficient. Good observation sir!!

I was just thinking we NEVER talk about bigger guys in the discussion of PFP.
What about Devon. At 238 he beats EVERYONE at any weight. We mention Toddzilla (who is a BAD man no doubt) but Devon has less than 20 pounds on him at times.
IMHO Devon is the best PFP and the best PERIOD.

How can you agree with this John. Devon has never won the "Picton Potato Festival Championships" So just hold your horses. LOL No doubt that he is the best in all catagories period.
