I'd like to see this match, it's very possible since there both going to compete at the PAL top 16 tournament

From Devon's mouth his right isn't up to snuff, and won't be for a good bit...so pointless debate today
IMO... Devon all day.

devon is very smart on the table.. his long arms make him fairly safe in alot of positions. However, Dave is so freakin strong right now and has such a great move up top that it could spell trouble in a best of 3 style SM.. if it is best of 5 I think the tables turn.

Unless Devon is 100% I go Dave. And even at 100% Dave wins 1 or 2. Might win it all if its 2 outta 3. Would love to see it.

Two years ago, I know Devon would've won. Today, even if Devon is 100%, I know Dave wins.
Dave is the strongest offensive minded super heavyweight on the planet right now. History has shown that Devon is weakest against offensive pullers going all the way back to Ivakin. Don's hit has given him trouble. Tim B was very impressive against Devon, and was an elbow foul away from winning.
Devon does very well absorbing a hit and pulling around it. Eventually his unreal stamina wins out. I don't think he can absorb Dave, and the stamina wouldn't come into play.
I don't care how many rounds it is, Dave wins. If it is 3 rounds, I say Dave 2-0 to win and 3-0 overall. If it is 5 rounds I say Dave 3-0 to win and 4-1 overall. If it is 6 rounds I think Dave wins 4-1 and 4-2 overall.
Dave is the only man to power over Denis right now. He has overpowered Lupkes, stops Don and Travis, and I think he holds a win over Tim the last time they pulled. Dave is the man right handed, and I am proud to know him.

Reminds me of 2012 when no one gave Devon a chance against Pushkar LH. Devon was practically pulling from the operation table when Zoloev witnessed the fight firsthand. He recalled in an interview for the 2012 Zloty Tur how he and Pushkar saw Devon arrive in Vegas and immediately started joking about how thin his arms looked. Like "ropes" they said. He mockingly told Pushkar not to break Devon's arm. Zoloev goes on to state that Devon came out the next day did what he could only describe as "performing miracles" in his demolition of Pushkar. BTW the seemingly reactive approach isn't necessarily defensive, and as long as we're commenting on mindsets- I believe there isn't an elite puller alive with Devon's fighting spirit. Not defending anyone; Larratt is big enough and ugly enough to fend for himself. Now I like the Chafemeister, no one should deny him his fun being king while the Emperor is away.

I like Dave and want to give him all the props and just dues as he deserves them.
With that said there are some points to make when him or any of the guys before him were painted on another level.
Dave is on an impressive streak no doubt, but saying the only guy to power over Denis... Well... Tim peeled his hand before, Lupkes looked like he was in it power wise and they went to war.... Brzenk has beaten him a few times( the only guy to do so)... Arsen has beaten him straight up. The list is short but it isn't a gauge and the power through part isn't the real deal... Dave lined up in a high posting looping toproll like Dave Patton... Denis' hand was flopped.
Stop travis ?... He sure has, but at WAL that looked like a scary day for Dave and by judging travis looked like the dominant guy then.... And with different refs it mighta been like 5 pins.
Don... He is elite, but Lupkes absorbs his hits too fairly easy.... As well as others.
Lupkes ... Raw power, with an angle he gets beat by Marcio and bath...
Brzenk has had points of chumping all these guys on a given day... Easily at that.
Point is... I see there seems to be a level the very best guys loom around... Sometimes a guy has a tad more horsepower or is more proficient at getting his angle and hits a stretch of winning, but that doesn't mean they stand alone the pack is on the same plane and as powerful, it's just micrometers and the day.
All the bests have been shocked and toppled in their peak of condition and dominance... Every single one... Unless they pull voevoda and dip off after the big win.
Even someone as powerful as Dave got his hand cracked and in a bit of trouble with Allen ford in the overall at MGC last year.... It happens
Dave is on top, but you can't and shouldn't put the pressure on him of being way above the pack, because he will get used as a platform to catapult the next guy as Denis did for him... And in Denis' case he didn't even have to win because he was perceived as so much stronger that just making him work was a win.
I based my vote on Devon's levers and hand taking ability coupled with the times I've seen Dave lose his hand.
Respect to the guy, just being analytical

Would be a long day for both I think. I couldn't pick a winner. I say 50/50 shot for both in anything best of 5 or less. More than that, Devon all the way...against anyone.
