Sweet ride!
My first car in high school was a 136 VIN Chevelle, 355/M-21, 12.80's car.
and a couple years ago I sold my 138 VIN 68 SS396, 13.20's car, got in trouble with the wife and ended up selling that thing too, favorite cars ever.

Devon, that ref is eye f*cking you. weird, can't be for real, looks like a picture where, wherever you go he's watching. anyway.......
Here is an idea. Devon, I have no idea how that match goes, but if in fact you should lose, what would be the chances of you showing up for the ROTN in Kansas City and at least claiming or an attempt to claim the Top spot in North America, I know we have rankings, but Devon against John, Ron, Tim, Travis.....thats just good sh*t, its already going to be the biggest tournament of the year, how about you show up and make it that much more, I mean when was the last time you made a showing at one of Americas bigger tourneys? I have no juice to be calling you out, just a fan that wants to see the best pull.
Just show up and pull man, sincerely, a fan.

that sucks, I hate to hear that. seeing how this a tournament in my city. I'm a sucker when it comes to armwrestling and any pulling is better than nothing. I'll probably go anyway, but that definately took some shine off having a tournament in my own backyard. Maybe after its over, I'll get the Oklahoma Team and anyone else is welcome to come to my house and have an after tourney pull/practice with some beers and brats.

From what I am told, it is a "2-GO" system being put on by an older guy that used to put on alot of armwrestling tourneys back in the day.
You will set up: READY GO- only hand/wrist/arm postion. NO BODY movement on first READY GO. then another READY GO for the take down- body english allowed.
I think I will get knocked out of the tournament on fouls. anyway, thats what i'm told. see you there.

you need to start working on your hook now, even if you get beat a ton, every time you pull in a hook you get stronger, you'll get there. Besides you've got the low hand toproll down what happens against a guy with some finger and wrist strength. Hook'em

well, in the mean time, I watched your match with Brody and I gotta admit that was an impressive win for you. That was a win no matter how much he tried to laugh it off like he couldn't take you serious, he's probably laid his head down every night since then wondering WTF happened and why he's a big 'ol strong guy with a limp wrist. NICE!!

Gary, so I guess I'm getting a little frustrated with no acknowledgement of any other plan, just as you so elequently said and I quote "I have my plans but they just involved doing what I am already doing but on a more consistent and upped level." So I take it now that you either will not acknowledge others opinions with a good/no-good reply or you already have it all worked out and need more revenue to make it happen. Sounds good, now tell me (a nobody armwrestler at this point, but ARMTV subscriber) how you plan to attain those "outsiders" ?

I have 1 plan of action directly affecting me as newer but devout armwrestler, DIVSIONS/LEVELS of armwrestling. SOLIDIFY IT, and give the brand new guys a reason to buy into the sport & ARMTV, those guys are actually showing up for the tournaments at least, Let him win or place in a true novice class, give him a trophy and a 1 month FREE membership to ARMTV.....YOU WILL have a 9 of 10 chance that he sticks. Or whatever plan you have?
Different levels of pullers may have different ideas, but that is the point, everyone can contribute ideas from their own standpoint, this just one happens to directly affect me.

DIVISIONS/LEVELS in armwrestling. I've only been to a few tournaments but I have watched guys walk off the street and probably a naturally good armwrestler get smaked off the table 0-2 because he entered the open and doesn't get it yet, just doesn't understand the level of talent he is pulling against or the training to get there. He just knows he got slammed and every person that doesn't get it, even if its not their fault is going to feel some type of shame and not willingness to enter another tournament and would rather be the local badass and beat his buddies at the bar or work or whatever. You've got levels with Ametuer/Novice at tourneys but the average guy doesn't get it, and they take a look at the competition in the room and size up a guy like Corey Miller who looks like your average 150-160 lb guy and gets worked when he steps up to the table. And why are there professionals even lower level pros pulling in Novice and ametuer classes? If you know how to set up at a table, toproll, hook, sweep, press, backpressure, whatever you are more professional than the true novice/ ametuer walking off the street, they have no idea. In the end, I've seen half of every tournament goer and family/friends leave before the entire tournament is done, because (A.) they are beat out (B.) they have no relation or know of who is at the table in the finals, and thus, do not care (C.) it gets to be a drawn out process with how the tourney is ran, and does not keep them involved. there are prolly tons of reasons.
Oh and what happens when you do get a million dollars, and you can only afford 1 commercial to show on ESPN at 3:00 a.m. because it costs 250,000 dollars or whatever for a halftime commercial of even bowling. You're right someone always has more money and even a million dollars may not be enough, and if it is and takes off and gets shown on ESPN, but they have no involvement with ARMTV and will not allow you to take part, buy you out, do well for a year and run it into the ground and you can't touch it because they have the rights? I have zero answers, just questions? BUT....GARY
I promise you, I get it, and I CARE

So, it sounds like you are saying by your topic "Armwrestling will never change", that armwrestling is and will be as it has been, just like yesterday and the day before, and on and on.
OR, maybe your title "Armwrestling will never change" is a bad way to put it.
I don't know, but i'll bite and watch later tonight.

In reference to Florida being taken seriously......They have as much a shot at winning the SEC this year as anyone, especially with the Heisman coming back, I'll say this, the SEC may be the toughest to pick a winner out of than any other conference, and you can probably say that every year. All I'm getting at is, outside of UGA, you can go with a few teams, Auburn, South Carolina, LSU all capable, Auburn has some potential but with splitting QB time and newcomer Kodi Burns, hard to say, South Carolina has a QB named Smelly but I guess the other guy is getting the start, LSU=TALENT, who knows? I just really, really don't think UGA gets through that schedule and they probably are the best team in the SEC, thats why we need a playoff, take a loss or 2 in schedule like that and you won't get a shot at the title.
