When/if he wins Iowa, the msm will just say it means nothing. Even though they have a countdown to the Iowa on Fox. They will talk about who came in second.
Just saw someone talking about the top 4 in Iowa on fox. Gingrich, Romney, perry and santorum. It's almost funny.. In complete denial.
Anyone watch freedom watch w/Judge napolitano? New favorite show

It only goes to show that the Republican Party is no longer the Conservative party. I know this sounds crazy to Democrats and Liberals who think Conservative and Republican means the same thing. It sounds odd to Republicans, too.
The Republican party was over-run with the Neo-Conservative movement after World War II but it wasn't until the 70's and 80's that anyone heard the term. Most people didn't take notice because the Neo-Conservative movement didn't stray too far from conservative principles at first. But after all this time it is unmistakeable. The Neo-Conservative movement has taken over the RNC from top to bottom. It is so complete that as a Conservative I am just as out of step and unrepresented by the RNC as I am by the DNC.
Ron Paul is the definition of conservative. He may come across as a kooky uncle, but if you read what he says instead of looking at him and listening to his delivery, you will be hard pressed to find anything out of line with a Constitutional strict-constructionist. That is the foundation of the Republican Party since Abraham Lincoln. The RNC can no longer claim to be the Party of Lincoln in my view. The wretched way the RNC has treated Ron Paul in an effort to install another party dinosaur is sickening. Any facade the RNC had before is now gone. The agenda is blatantly obvious to the most disinterested observer.
I imagine that Liberals are just as dissatisfied with the DNC. While I'm no Liberal, if I was, I'd be mad as hell if I had elected a President who claimed to be Liberal and who turned out to be George W. Bush, Jr in many respects. George W. Bush was no conservative, by the way. He did some conservative things, but fiscally he was as liberal as Woodrow Wilson. He may not have been the foaming-at-the-mouth Socialist as Woodrow Wilson or FDR, but fiscally there isn't a dime's bit of difference.
I guess this election cycle has finally pushed me over the edge. I have been a registered Republican since the day I was old enough to vote. The RNC is not only out of step with mainline conservative principles, but has become outright hostile toward any Constitutional strict-constructionist belief system. The RNC is doing it's unholy best to put Mitt Romney (!) in office. In 1964, 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984... Mitt Romney would have been a middle of the road Democrat by anyone's definition. I guess this means I have to give up the term Conservative since the RNC says the term no longer applies to me. My beliefs haven't changed, but the definition of those beliefs has because the RNC has hijacked the language.
Hi. My name is John, and I just discovered that I'm a Libertarian.

I keep hearing talk about Ron Paul "needing" to run as a 3rd party candidate. He's been doing that and hasn't worked because we're molded to believe there are only a 2-party race. It's simple. In over 30 years, he has NEVER wavered from the core of OUR Constitution and Bill of Rights. Democrats and Republicans alike hate that they cannot find any dirt on this guy. So he's labeled "kooky". If Ron Paul doesn't make it this time, I think that may be his last ride. Attachments:

I agree, Michael. A 3rd party run is a dead loser on a national level. If Ron Paul doesn't win, then I honestly don't care who does win because they're all the same and want the same things.

If Ron Paul doesn't make it this time, I think that may be his last ride. I find it funny also that in EVERY interview they keep trying to get him to say he'll run for 3rd party so that "they" can use it against him. Watch, now that it's proven he's in the lead and he has no REAL dirt, I bet you money they'll try to bring up the whole racism thing again. That's all they got aside from the "he's a nut job" argument. If you guys have time, watch this documentary: The Century of the Self It explains how business and now governments and politicians use our subconscious to "sell" us with techniques developed by Sigmund Freud and his nephew, who invented public relations, Edward Bernays . It's very interesting! This is an older movie, but the parallels from it's examples and now are crazy with this upcoming election. It talks about how after Clinton originally ran making promises and he wasn't able to keep his campaign promises (he wasn't allowed tax cuts because the couldn't afford them due to the fact that the national debt was too high lol ). So since he lost his base, in order to win he basically used the polling system to figure out what voters wanted and pandered directly to each issue, no matter how insignificant (Parental Locks on Cable for Porn Channels ). They learned that all they have to do is say EXACTLY what we want to hear to get elected and then do whatever they intended from the beginning. The American sheeple will fall for it over and over and over again. THIS is why I'm a huge Ron Paul supporter. He doesn't tell you what you want to hear, he tells you THE TRUTH! I'm afraid of what will happen to our country if he doesn't get the nomination. Currency crisis anyone?

He's not anti-Isreal. He believes Isreal should stand on their own. He also said they are a sovereign nation and they don't need our permission to do whatever it takes to protect themselves.

He's not anti-Isreal. He believes Isreal should stand on their own. He also said they are a sovereign nation and they don't need our permission to do whatever it takes to protect themselves. Exactly. He also reiterates what Netanyahu told our Congress a few months back, that is that he doesn't want or need our help and that Israel can take care of themselves. Robert, just curious, what does it matter either way if he was for or against Israel? Usually when I ask people why they are so all about supporting Israel, they usually can't give any reasons other than the talking points the "news" provides. Next time someone says that, ask them and see what they say, and obviously tell them that he's not against Israel cause we need the votes. ;D
