It's only the first primary. Only hard-core political junkies are even paying attention right now, but the first primary tends to wake people up. Romney has a gigantic election machine behind him that has been campaigning for a year and half already, so he should be really dissappointed he didn't do a whole lot better.

Ron Paul is going to have to get some fire in his belly if wants to pick up the rank and file voter who isn't a political junky. He's got to throw some red meat out there. People who get into policy can understand him, but he's got to reach out to people who are not policy wonks. Most people want a leader, and they'll fall for Romney because he looks and sounds "Presidential." Paul comes across as a a doddering old man sometimes and that's going to hurt him if he doesn't display some cajones.

Yeah, he started to lately with his stance on his advertisements, but I hope he'll really stick it to them in the next debate. You know ol' Newter will come out gun's a blazin'. Hopefully he'll take down Romney and Santorum with him. I did like how Newt mentioned Ron Paul's foreign policy being dangerous for America in his speech after the voting. What a tool! You can bet CNN played that part, but cut off the Army Vet explaining why he thinks Israel can take care of themselves in regards to Iran.

Yeah, Newt is playing this "I'm the only one running a clean campaign" routine. He has to, because when the mud really starts flying he's cooked. He better hope the tone stays nicey-nice as long as possible. But it won't happen.
Bachman's toast. She's calling a conference at 11am. Perry's done. He's 'reconsidering' his options, which means figuring out whether he should keep campaigning until the money runs out or just save the pain and anguish and go home.
I'm actually happy that Santorum did so well. All it really means is that the Newt and Bachman crowds saw the handwriting on the wall and went for Santorum over Romney. But when Santorum fizzles they'll have to choose between Mitt and Ron Paul. It's Mitt's to lose. By all regards, he should pick up a lot of the Santorum votes. But some percentage of them will go to Paul because I think deep down, not many people can stomach Mitt Romney on a personal level. If it comes down to thinking your side is going to lose, better to vote for the guy who actually believes the things he says. If you already concede the loss, then why vote for John Kerry's twin brother?

I think Perrys out too. Which leaves the top four, even though they are calling it a two person race now...
What's funny is they say Pauls only stand is in Iowa. Santorum has been down in single digits til Iowa. He put all his cards in Iowa, so how is this any different then Paul? Now they act as if santorum is top 2 nation wide, and Pauls done. Santorum isn't even polling close to Paul in the other states...

"Serial stupidity is a sign of conscious intent." - Mark Twain
Paul finished about 4,000 votes behind Romney and Santorum. Fourth place was about half the votes Ron Paul got. The top 3 led the rest of the group by about double the votes. That puts Ron Paul is a statistical dead heat with the other two. The media won't report it, though. And like Logan says, this was Santorum's "Hail Mary" attempt because if he didn't score in Iowa he was done.
It will be interesting to see if the media now goes after Santorum hard.

Perry isn't out. He's got too much money and too much pride I don't understand how he has so much damn money. He hasn't done anything that would deserve as much. Don't know if you guys watch Alex Jone's movies, but in one of them back in 2008 Perry attended Bilderburg, where they said he'd probably be president in 2012. It's sad that it's so obvious who the globalists want, Romney or Perry.

strange but IDK what to think of how it went in Iowa I guess that soldier's going to get in trouble for speaking later on during Ron Paul's speech. Apparently it's illegal? Paul wanted him to finish what he said since he got cut off by CNN. Total BS!!!

Well in this case the soldier was in the wrong. You cannot partake in political rallies or demonstrations while wearing uniform. This is military regs 101 and you are taught this very clearly when you join the service.
He won't go to jail but I imagine he'll get NJP. This ones a no-brainer. He crossed a very clear line.

I've seen a couple of his movies and it's SO obvious what goes on. People don't know because Jersey Shore and sh!+ like that. Have you ever seen the clips of Alex Jones at the Bohemian Grove? Our leaders are evil power-hungry parasites

IDK i am kinda glad he did because of the assault on the the Constitution and Bill of Rights by those in the government. I would have a hard time keeping silent if i was still in the military and in his shoes IMO we are starting down a road that will end up with internal revolution and it makes me mad as hell dont get me wrong I do not plan on fighting against the government or rioting and i still would fight and die for my country if i had to
