i dont think a true christian would worry so much on when the rapture was because he is ready either way but it is something for you others to think about Maybe that's why it's always coming but never comes? So you get a second change? To believe the next one might be the one. To fear.

The ONLY thing that makes my stomach a tiny bit nervous for these guys is that they only have to be right once.... Then you just don't believe them. It's not like they have a history of being right. Right? Believe in this kind of "doomsday" nonsense on the other hand is not a minor issue. There are people who are ready for tragic actions because of such belief. Before "a set date" and after. Some people are going to be actually disappointed. How crazy is that?

It's been said that 95% of biblical prophecy has been accurately fulfilled and the next thing to happen chronologically is the rapture.
When Paul wrote of the coming rapture he it's been said he believed it was going to happen within days or weeks of the time he wrote what he did.

The historical timeline of this claim and how often it has been detailed and failed is staggering.
I cannot recall the guys name but back in the 50's I think it was, a man that proclaimed the end of the world much like the current group, later beat his wife to death with a bible after it did not happen. A real bunch of stable people out in there in this world.

Matthew 24:3-6
3 And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.

not busting your balls just wanted to point out that in every era of man, the christians have believed that christ would return in there lifetime Lol I'm well aware of that. My point was that Paul one of the most educated men of the law of Moses and the revalation of Christ. Had no reason to believe that his 2nd coming was far off. Paul didn't set a doomsday day. Just believed it was near. And biblically speaking there is no reason that the 2nd coming couldn't/wouldn't be any second now

Nothing wrong with believing something is near when it's possible.
But there is something wrong with setting dates based on bogus information and wooing and manipulating people.
I can say for the rest of my life that the 2nd coming is (relatively) near.... And never be proven wrong.
But when you set a date you at that point open yourself up to being a fool.

I hear of two different people who have claimed to be Christ already in this country and it is thought by some that the false prophet will be a false Christ meant to try to get people to convert to Islam or have their head cut off The parable of the fig tree is said to mean that the generation alive at the rebirth of Israel[fig tree] would also see the return of Christ which would mean that it will happen sometime in the near future

This hurts...but Ryan is, ugh, right. The Rapture could be at any moment in time.
I must admit though that I laugh at the freaks who quote Scripture (which being a Catholic, I am terrible at) stating that (summarizing here) that man will not know when the end of time will be...and then go on tell you the day and time even!
I am hoping the Rapture is later rather than sooner cause the Lord knows I am not worthy of Heaven! I am trying though!
