Does anyone know where the love of God goes When the waves turn the minutes to hours? The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay if they'd put fifteen more miles behind her.
They might have split up or they might have capsized May have broke deep and took water And all that remains is the faces and the names Of the wives and the sons and the daughters

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance Never settle for the path of least resistance Living might mean taking chances But they're worth taking Loving might be a mistake But it's worth making Don't let some hell bent heart Leave you bitter When you come close to selling out Reconsider Give the heavens above More than just a passing glance

I know they say you can't go home again I just had to come back one last time Ma'am I know you don't know me from Adam But these handprints on the front steps are mine
Up those stairs, in that little back bedroom Is where I did my homework and I learned to play guitar And I bet you didn't know under that live oak, My favorite dog is buried in the yard.
I thought if I could touch this place or feel it This brokenness inside me might start healing Out here it's like I'm someone else Thought that maybe I could find myself If I could just come in I swear I'll leave Won't take nothing but a memory From the house that built me

Nice song but im not a big fan of her's. The tough cowgirl act is tired.

When I look into your soft green eyes When I see your delicate body Revealed to me as you slip off your dress I'm reminded what I feel for you Will remain strong and true Long after the pleasures of the flesh (CHORUS) Me in the rain or the wind Or the moon up in the sky The spin of the earth or the change of the tide I don't know what brought us together What strange forces of nature Conspire to construct the present From the past

Wrote my whole life down in a notebook Songs about you and me I've been singing to every soul in Tennessee Nobody seems to listen No one ever smiles the way that you do So I guess you'll never hear me on the radio I'd give us this crazy dream of mine To hold you once more No idea... I'm guessing that whoever sang it was wearing polyester tho... Don't mind me. I'm just in a foul mood because I lost my iPod this weekend. GRRRRRRR....
